So another week and another number one. In their third week on the chart, Liars finally reach number with their superb blast of noisey pop. In an otherwise static chart there are two new entries. Veteran rockers (and my rock heroes in the 80s) The Cult are back with a great new single, a trailer for their new album Born Into This. Also just making it into the chart are Swedish retro popsters The Sounds with their new wavey single Painted by Numbers.
