Oh I forgot out Fiest, she's really good. They seem to be stocking her album in woolworths now also, so hopefully more people will be picking it up.

BEST:

Rihanna - Good Girl Gone Bad

Britney Spears - Gimme More

Avril Lavigne - The Best Damn Thing

WORST:

Kelly Rowland - Ms Kelly/Like This

Natasha Bedingfield - N.B.

Amerie - Because I Love It

BEST:

Rihanna - Good Girl Gone Bad

Britney - Gimme More

Kanye West - Graduation

WORST:

Natasha Bedingfield - Babies

Joss Stone - Introducing Joss Stone

Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Anything this year tbh

Best I'd say Sophie Ellis-Bextor, but I may sound incredibly biased. :(

Worst comeback singles for me go to KT Tunstall, 'Hold On' is just beyond horrible, same goes for Maroon 5's 'Makes Me Wonder'.

Kelly Rowland & Amerie's comeback have both been absolutely amazing, 'Like This', 'Gotta Work' & 'Take Control' are the 3 best tracks of the year so far!

Joss Stone, Hilary Duff, Beverley Knight, Keyshia Cole & Alicia Keys have all had brilliant comebacks too

Kelly Clarkson's comeback is really disappointing! I liked Breakaway, Behind These Hazel Eyes & Walk Away but Never Again is just completely c**p!!! :o :o

Forgot to include Sophie Ellis Bextor as best comeback..her new material is brilliant!!

I'll just say this. I absolutely hated Hilary Duff's music prior to the "Dignity" album. However after I heard it from start to finish I was like floored. Its a very very veryyyy good album and how it flopped is still beyond me. The production and songwriting (which one of my absolute current favorite songwriters did some writing on this album as well) is very good. That album is very good and I think I could listen to "with love" over and over again without ever getting tired of it. I also love Britney's new track and really think her comeback is going to be great. Jennifer Lopez I haven't made a decision about yet... I heard the newest single and I'm on the fence about it. Mandy Moore is underrated as usual, I don't get how people are STILL under a rock about her. I even prefer her version of "Umbrella" more than Rihanna's funny enough.

Best: Hilary Duff (even if sales don't translate it)/Rihanna/Mandy Moore/B.Spears

Worst: Kat DeLuna (lollll even thought she is new, but she is very overrated imo)/Kelly Clarkson (personally I have always found her to be overrated and the only track I like from her new album is "Never Again" as daffy as that may sound.

Sophie's album is the best of her career I think, but it flopped in the charts.. does that make it a best or worst comeback?

Well, I think it's more about the quality of the music than the success it has had, so basically you consider Sophie's comeback as amazing.

I found Sophie's album strangely disappointing. 10 good or brilliant songs, none of which seem to fit together in the slightest.
Mandy's is obviously the best every song on the Wild Hope album is amazing its just ashane people tend to ignore her now :(
I am surprised that no-one's mentioned that faux-American b*tch Joss Stone yet, with her awful album Introducing Joss Stone (even though it was her THIRD album DOH) and her dreary single Tell Me 'Bout It. As for the second single featuring that common rapper, the less said the better. That performance at the Brits has probably damaged her career beyond repair in the UK, and she isn't selling that well in the USA either. Adios, you bizarrely coiffured Yank wannabe!!
Best comeback this year is M.I.A. The worst comeback in terms of sales and success is Kelly Clarkson, but I actually really like the album, more than Breakaway.

There's a LOT of hate for Kelly Clarkson on this thread :( Her and Beverley Knight are the best comebacks for me.

Worst comeback albums: Kelly Clarkson (great album but not in the same league as Breakaway), but the worst comeback has to go to Lucie Silvas :(

I kind of agree with you on Lucie Silvas. Maybe not the worst, but for me it was the most disappointing after the amazing Breathe In, which I loved every single track on that album.

I find it a bit weird people can say Britney has had the best comeback when her new single has barely been out a week :/ The album could be terrible for all we know.

Looking at sales it has got to be Kelly and Natasha for worst comeback. Both utterly terrible when you look at how the previous albums did, both badly handled too. Best in terms of sales would have to be (In the UK) Kaiser Chiefs, ugh. Worldwide Linkin Park (ugh again) and Avril. I would have included Rihanna but I really don't count her new album as a comeback. 'Break It Off' was at american radio just one month prior to 'Umbrella'. Just because she had new material doesn't make it a comeback. It's not like she has been away for years. :/

When it comes to quality, the worst comebacks so far are Maroon 5, Fall Out Boy and Kelly Clarkson. The previous albums by these artists were poor, but I am not going to lie and just leave it there. They did actually have some quality songs, 'Since U Been Gone', 'This Love' and 'Sugar, We're Going Down' were all catchy pop songs, they deserved to be the hits they became etc. Maybe my music taste has moved along since then or they have just come back with the same c**p, just worse. Well, atleast Kelly tried and did actually have some artistic integrity. The other two... nah, just terrible attempts at trying to be as mainstream as possible. The best in terms of quality... Feist easily, followed by Stars, Rilo Kiley and M.I.A. (a few others I am sure too). They have not been tainted by sales and mainstream success. They have all come back with critical success and albums that they should be proud of. B)

Maroon 5 had a pretty good comeback they din't flop at all their latest album went to no.1 in the uk & usa

and they had a top 2 hit in the usa with thier comeback single a their first no.1 hit in the us.

He said in terms of quality. And for what it's worth, I totally agree. :puke2:
