Britney Spears is leaving her fans wanting more – new music, that is. After releasing “Gimme More,” her much-requested latest single, in advance of her new album (due Nov. 13), the pop star will continue to whet fans’ appetites by unveiling a new song during a performance at the MTV Video Music Awards, USA Today reports. Spears, 25, has long been expected to perform at the Sept. 9 ceremony, and has been working up an act with illusionist Criss Angel. In addition to “Gimme More,” she is expected to sing the as-yet-unreleased song “Cry,” says the newspaper.

Spears’s music rep declined to comment. Besides doing their work on the VMA performance, Spears and Angel have been hanging out together, most recently last Saturday in Las Vegas where the pop star was on hand to open Luxor’s LAX Nightclub. After greeting the crowd, Spears spent time in the VIP area with Angel. “She’s a very talented young lady and she’s going to do an amazing job with the new album,” the illusionist told PEOPLE.

I'm excited to hear "Cry" sounds like it will be good
If she sang live it'd probs just be for the ballad and then probably lip sync to Gimme More or at least some of it. She might be just singing the ballad to reveal something a bit different and so she at least sings something live. ^_^
She won't lip sync the ballad, but she probably will mime "Gimme More" because she willhave all the tricks and stuff.
