I've been watching heaps of the comic con videos, they are great. I didn't realise Shirley was going to be there. Thanks for this Alin :D

Garbage are finally releasing a non-vinyl version of the song All The Good In This Life. The song will come together with the Songs For Tobet CD.

SONGS FOR TIBET - The Art of Peace Foundation's CD Project

As a show of solidarity with the Dalai Lama and Tibet, 20 artists have come together to release this historic double album on the eve of the Beijing Olympics.

These recordings - some original for the project and some acoustically driven recordings of previously released songs - express our common vulnerabilities and experiences in pursuing happiness, peace and freedom. Collectively, these tracks represent a heartfelt message of support for the path of compassion and non-violence championed by the Dalai Lama. Begun in May of 2008 and completed in two months, the outpouring of support from all corners of the world was unparalleled. Funds raised from the album will go to support peace initiatives and Tibetan cultural preservation projects important to the Dalai Lama.

Samples of all the songs featuring on the CD are avaiable here:

Shirley sing a cover of Samson & Delilah on the new Terminator tv series:

I love the song!

Much better than her latest collaborations with Rossdale and Avery IMO!

Manson Balancing Acting With Solo Work

Ann Donahue, L.A.

Garbage's Shirley Manson will return to the recording studio next month to lay down solo material she's been working on for the past several months.

Manson is now part of the cast of Fox's "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles," but doesn't anticipate the role getting in the way of her music career. "I've got a lot of material," she says. "We'll see if I manage to pull it off."

On the show, Manson portrays Catherine Weaver, a high-powered CEO with a secret. Yep, ala Arnold Schwarzenegger and Robert Patrick, she's a Terminator that's been sent from the future to kill John Connor.

"I think musicians in general tend to be quite sensitive, and that helps when you're trying to interact with others on screen," Manson says, citing Tim McGraw, Courtney Love and David Bowie as musicians she admires who have jumped to acting.

And while Manson says she's trying to branch beyond her music persona to challenge herself, she doesn't intend to have a complete career upheaval. "I don't think that once you've been in a successful band that you can shed that image," she says. "Being in a band, it's like being in a minor Mafia. You never really get out alive."

The second season of "Connor" premiered on Sept. 8, and was seen by 6.3 million viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research.

Manson said Garbage bandmate Butch Vig sent her a quick e-mail upon her screen debut that read: "F*cking awesome, I love it, queenie!"

"I wouldn't say it was boring, but it didn't frighten me any more," Manson says of performing with Garbage. "[On screen] I'm scared and it's a challenge and it feels good."

That's awesome!
