Exactly one year ago on September 11th, 2006 ... Jamelia released the lead single from her new album. "Something About You" peaked at #9 in the UK charts and remained in the top 40 for 7 weeks.

Why would that be sarcastic? She's had a really good year, despite 'Walk With Me' under-performing on the charts.

I agree with you. J's had a really good year. It was just the album not doing well as expected :(

'What a year' doesn't necessarily mean a good year, lol ;) Though she has released a very personalised hair care range, enjoyed a film cameo, done a hundred and one performances on TV, etc :D Plus she's working on new material.

To say No More didn't do well -_- It did really well on airplay so thats good :D

Well she left her label after an underperforming album, so it's not that much of a good year musically :lol: And of course 'what a year' could mean 'what a bad year'.

I don't think it could mean she's had a bad year, because I don't think she has at all. Okay, her album didn't do aswell as expected. But it still had two singles enter the top 10, she was nominated for the prestigious Brit award earlier this year too, and she's been performing in concerts up and down the country over a period of time, etc. So even when you're talking about her music, I don't think she's done that bad at all. She's still out there.

Yep, one think that can be said is she's still out there, making music and appearing in the media. She's a fighter! :D
