Posted May 4, 200619 yr Anybofy been watching the history of naughty rude words on bbc3. its a very interesting programme. it was on last night and taked about the standards of language on tv since Kenneth Tynan said the word fuck on satire programme BBC 3 (oh suppose the digital channel should be writen as bbc three then ) it also had the history of smeg and other words of a naughty nature. for example i never knew that the first person to utter the very naughty word (a 4 letter vaginal monolgue!!!) was sometime poet and wine lover Felix Dennis, the publisher of Maxim who was a bit of a hippy in his day!!! http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/c/c1/MaximVan.jpg another part of the show featured on films in the 80s that were censored when they were on TV. Films such as Scarface and Repo Man. I found this hillarious that films had bizarre words put in where the naughty bits were so when someone shouted "Fuck you motherfucker" what people heard was Flip you Mellonfarmer!!!  :lame:   , also where someone asks "you like licking pussy" this gets changed into "you like liking pineapples"!!!  :lame:   does anyone rember watching films like this. i find it unbeleivable that broadcasters did this!!!
May 4, 200619 yr I watched this show when it was on three weeks ago = very entertaining. Going slightly off topic does anyone rember when the Wurzels made their late 1990s comeback with contempory songs they covered Prince's SexyMF as "Sexy Mellon Farmer".

May 4, 200619 yr ive not seen it.... mind you, its interesting what is allowed now that only in the last few years has become commonplace.
