So Waterloo Sunset easily beats out Tubeway Army and wins for the second time.

This time it's up against a single by Abba that didn't reach the position it definitely should have done - The Day Before You Came.

I know you have all probably got tracks that you would prefer to see in the soundclash but that doesn't mean I won't put them up later!

My all-time favourite Abba song has to win.....

im not with tip on this, i dont like that abba track, in fact im not sure there is an abba track to challenge the kinks . that of course is a personal opinion.

Abba's is too slushy - In fact I prefer the Blancmange 80s cover. In 90% of cases I prefer originals

you might not like the kinks, but you cant dismiss ray davies's writing skills, tackling what were taboo subjects like homosexuality (see my freinds) and transvestisism (lola).

well i think you are out of kilter there m8, the kinks overrated? how can that be when they are the godfathers of 'mod' 'britpop' 'indie'... ie british guitar bands? twee?... lol.. sorry i just couldnt disagree more!
