Sadly, I agree. It's either that or people vote for the cover because they support the artist... regardless of the actual artwork. :/ I am always shocked when the most amazing covers don't win...

I usually just vote on how good the cover is, I couldn't care less about the artist or which member it is ... :unsure:

I thought maybe this was true when I first joined, but I'm fairly convinced now that it isn't he case. Covers like russt68's recent Manics and Editors examples were neither by artists popular on these boards (glossy babes) nor even featured pictures of the groups and yet they won (quite rightly too - they were great graphic design).

I don't want to turn into a big debate or anything. :lol: I'm not trying to prove a point to anybody; it's my own personal decision. ^^;

 

And I don't feel that sometimes people judge based on artist, but rather the member who made them. But again, I don't want this to be a big deal or anything.

(in regards to the idea that people vote for the member not the cover there is one way to change that - we pm them to mikey and he posts them so its anonymous. but that makes a lot more work for mikey and i don't think it's necessary. when i have done the odd good cover i have got good points. there have been times when i've felt that my cover should have done better, but i don't know what people are looking for! i never vote for a particular member, but i think that when someone finds a winning formula they stick to it. but then so would i - if i found that doing the same sort of cover meant i won, then i would stick with it for a bit!! *i just need to find a formula!* :lol: )

At this stage, its a low scoring week, no one has triple figures yet, it could be any of the top 4 covers as they are literally just a few points of each other, carry on voting.
