Sorry to hear about your dad DD.

Even when death is expected it's still a shock.

Sending you a big hug.

I'm sure you'll be a comfort for your mum.

We're hear to talk if you want to.

Sorry I seem to be coming on and then disappearing. My laptop's behaving really badly today. I think the poor thing is just plain worn out.

My pc is nearly defunct. I need to win the lottery quickly. I can't use it to edit pics anymore as I can hardly see them.

I couldn't resist this one.

She really enjoyed it - so did I.

The awful thing is, I'm now looking forward to GWTW with dread. All pleasure seems to be gone. I just feel like keeping well away. I have to go on the Saturday but, I really don't want to. I just get sick of things sometimes. It's a shame because I was really looking forward to it all.

Don't let one posting ( not this site) upset you Meg. It's not worth it.

Is the pic your daughter?

Lovely pic Meg. She looks so confident on the horse. I'd be terrified.

Don't let someone who talks out of their backside spoil this for you. They aren't worth it

try not to let it ruin things for you - I know the feeling, sometimes I dreaded going to places purely due to feeling ill at ease due to posts on the forums and bumping into people in real life! especially back in the official forum days! but at the end of the day, it is Darius we are here for, and people who are genuinely friends.

I have always gone anyway. Much to the annoyance of the people who were trying to turn everyone against mestop me going. It's worth it for the look on their faces. I'm never ruide though and would never behave like they do.

I'm taking Mum to watch Paul O;Grady being filemed. it's the most difficult journey she will have managed for years and she'll be exhausteed. I think (but don't know) that we may have KT Tunstall there. Since she's one of my fave female singers, it would be good if she was.
I like KT too. She seems very down to earth and to derive her pleasure from her art and not from the celebrity which surrounds the job she has chosen to do.

The photo is great. Wouldn't it be lovely if we could keep that huge enthusiasm and sheer joy of living

all our lives! Is this your daughter, or a family friend?

It is - she's bigger at 13. She has developed most of my interests as she's grown. It seems like yesterday she was a tiny baby. Where does the time go? I hope she waits until her late 20s/early 30s to marry. I wouldn't like her to take after me in that too. It's scary how few years there are between where she is now and the age I got engaged and married. I want her to have all that fun and enjoyment and freedom. Then, when she's a lot older, have all the pleasure of a family - if that's what she wants to do. There's time for everything.
