I'll have to pop off now, and do the 5 minute task I came on to do and then go out and sweep up some of the leaves. It never fails to amaze me how many leaves fall from relatively small trees.

It was the speed that they changed this year, that surprised me. In a week it went from green to russet.
My husband has gone off tonite to see An Inconvenient truth the film Darius talked about. It is being shown at the organic/educational farm where my son is on the same wavelength as D regarding the global warming etc. and has organised the showing. I havent seen it yet.

I didn't see it because when I first thought about doing so, it wasn't showing in any of our cinema chains. When it eventually got here, I was far too busy to take time out to go to the cinema.

I reckon it might be shown again now that Al Gore has won the Nobel Prize.

It will soon come on tv

I thought it had been on one of the Sky channels but maybe it was one of those films about the making of it.

I blame that film and its impact on Darius for his reluctance now to make so many flights from the US for very short stays in the UK. During Chicago he was flying back to America after the show on Saturdays. Maybe he worked out what his carbon footprint was for those. I wonder whether he would see clusters of 2 to 3 gigs, like he did before, as warranting the flights or if they would need to be part of a bigger round of promotion.

If he was here and Natasha couldn't come over, then he'd still make the flights. That's life. He'd try and cut back in other ways.
Too many dreams last night - driving a car whose brakes didn't work, having to steer fast round corners and eventually stopping by going backwards up a craggy slope. Then a whole story in a dream, just a shame I can't remember it all. It was about a man in a shop, whose mother had recently died. Two people were trying to trick him out of his inheritance and though I tried to warn him not to sign anything; that the process of law takes much longer than he was being told by the conman, the man wouldn't listen.

Typical man. Mine turned the internet off while I thought I was answering posts last night. Asking if anyone is still using it would be a good habit for him to develope.

That is very annoying. Men don't think to ask. They want to control. My hubby comes in the room, switches over the tv to some boring programme he wants, without first asking if I'm watching something and then walks out the room again.

That's something that really gets under my skin............ someone who insists he/she wants to see something which clashes with something I really want to see and then he/she gets distracted and doesn't actually watch it but still takes the hump if I eventually switch it over.
ooh..a bug bear of mine, my hubby has the habit of insisting he wants to see something..then falls asleep through it!! and I am left watching it, and if I go to turn over he stirs and insists he was only resting his eyes..LOL luckily there isnt much on TV I want to watch!! other than the garden/wildlife programs...luckily we both seem to be watcing mostly the same things these days..even strictly come dancing
I now have a little gadget that plugs into my laptop and with it I can watch all the tv channels including freeview. So if there is something I really want (not much) then I'll use that and headphones for undisturbed viewing and it can record as well. Now I just need some Darius on tv.

Me too.

My Mum's sister is close to death. I'm going to have to drive a couple of hundred miles so they can see each other for the last time. Mum's taking it badly. Her sister is the youngest sibling. I'm not going until Tuesday when she may be well enough to actually have visitors.

I'm sorry to hear that Meg. I remember you saying she was ill. Hope your mum will be okay.
