I see it infrequently and in bits when the kids are watching. It doesn't seem to be really about talent.

I like it, but I prefare it when they get to the ones who can sing.

I just don't think it compares with the first Pop Idol. I'm not interested in the judges.

Were there elimination auditions in front of producers for Pop Idol? Darius certainly doesn't give that impression in Sink or Swim, does he?

stories make good viewing...that's what makes the money...the public voting with their hearts not their brains...so to speak.

 

there were 2 elderly people who over the wait had made a date for a meal. The man was ok the lady must have been excellent younger but at 84 found it hard to hold the notes...but guess what...they both got through.

 

No none of them compare to PopIdol....the first one...

They are timing the last two winners to come out while this series has interest.

well I haven't a clue what 'ding' marketing is but if you want viewers then yes.....'cos they are suckers for a sad or happy story

The song I'm most dreading is not from someone in X Factor. It's the Big Brother twins' version of Barbie Girl. I've always hated that song.

It should suit them well then.

I can see it being one of thse novelty songs that hangs around the charts for ages which means there'll be no escaping it in any shopping centre.

I'll just filter it out - I'm getting good at that kind of thing.

I wish I could but if I really hate a song it seems to get through more easily than ones I have no strong feelings about.
