Nah, one laptop and a wireless router. Then you can use the same laptop all over the house (and in the garden)

Do you have to get someone to fit one of those router things, Nina, or is it a plug into USB job?

Some ISPs are doing deals where they give you a laptop along with the router (AOL do I think)

I set up my router myself, following the instructions.

oh dear im not very computer savvy. never heard of a router. i am way behind. cant get used to the touch thing after using a mouse. i am heavy handed with it as used to be a typist for years and my touch is heavy.

Preston I added a router and I havent got a clue but it works.

Just watched Duncan James on The Alan Tichmarsh show singing All I Care About Is Love, now I realise how excellent Darius was not that I didnt think it before. But Duncan wasnt a patch on Darius.

Did you have a good birthday? I think Duncan is the worst one I've seen. Maybe that's because I was expecting him to be so much better though.
I did thank you Meg I got loads of presents and cards oh and money ready for my trips to see Darius. :D

I'm all right with plugging it in and not too bad with installing things so long as they're prettymuch automatic and don't need me to input any details about my system.

Apart from the filling tube for my screen wash, I don't know anything about the workings of my car either. I think I'm a wee bit of a technophobe.

Happy Belated Birthday, DD.

I did once replace a starter motor in my car
Is that why you don't have one anymore?

LOL, no - the starter motor worked well and I sold to the car when I needed money to furnish a flat I got.

Now you've admitted you're good with cars - I know who to call when I need help. I have a few spare display cabinets if you need one.
I always feel the chances of me mucking up things is greater than letting them be or getting someone who knows in to find out what is wrong and fix it............especially in the fields of technology and DIY.

I've had no trouble on Rachel's site, BT, although I've not been on the internet much today.

Thanks but it was over 20 years ago. I'm better at assembling display cabinets.
