Honey and lemon seem to work better than most medicines.

It's what my mum always gave us when we'd sore throats as kids. I don't take medications unless I really need to.

I need to sleep - hence the medinite.

I got tickets for the matinee. My Mum is coming to watch Dave's Dad and Cathy will be there as well. We just have to make sure we're there before we need to get him ready for bed.

Me too. It means I can afford another ticket later to check if he's got better in the part.

 

Thank goodness for cheap travel. It's often uncomfortable but I can put up with quite a lot if Darius is at the end of it.

 

 

And isn't it about time you Liverpudlians put up a fight for decent transport links to the major UK cities? I haven't got over that yet.

I haven't got over the way people seemed to be sent through the tunnel whether they wanted to or not. I don't think we were wanted there.

My cousin has just told me that her mum is unlikely to live until tomorrow night. I just don't know what to do. I can't leave my father-in-law and feel so frustrated that I can't go and get Mum.

Have you managed to work something out yet? Have you told your mum?

My Aunt died at 4:45 this morning. I have one of Mum's friends with her. She doesn't want to come down to me at the moment and she seems OK. I think she's just glad her sister isn't in pain anymore. I'm aware that the loss of her sister will take over soon. We'll have to decide what to do then. My cousin is dealing with her mum's death very well. I think that that is a case of welcoming the end of suffering and the rest will hit her later. Cancer is a horrible death.

Very sorry to hear about your aunt Meg. Hard for those left but at least she is free from pain. Please send my condolences to your Mum.

It's always hard, whether it's expected or not.
