I'm off to get the papers and some shopping - trudging through the snow. Thank goodness it didn't snow yesterday. Pam is taking my Mum home for me. I hope they don't have a problem.

we have a rather large snow cat sitting on our lawn, but the snow around it has gone, there was a about 5cm of snow when we got up this morning
on a tangent, I was sad to hear Charlton Heston died last night, I really enjoyed his films as a youngster, one of the Movie Idols I really enjoyed -

Charlton Heston was a really lovely thoughtful man too. He and his wife befriended a family I knew slightly through my work and they exchanged letters and he never failed to drop by to see them when ever he was in Scotland.

Where would Cecil B De Mille have been without Charlton Heston?

Personally, I have to say CH was an actor who, for me, was like cary Grant always himself, no matter which part he played, but I didn't mind at all.

In the first half, Darius is far more Darius than he is in the second - there he is just Rhett.

That's what I love about early previews - you really get to see how it matures.

I think the darker Rhett is something D has had to focus on and really need to act whereas the pre-burning of Atlanta Rhett has much more in common with Darius.

The latter is underneath it all, a charming gentleman with a perpetual smile, speaking bluntly and refusing to conform. He enjoys goading those he sees as image driven and tied down by silly conventions. Rhett is also well educated and well travelled.

A mixture between Billy Flynn and Sky in the first half......definitely Rhett in the second....that second half is wonderful....as Sky would say

It's tried to snow twice more. We had thick snow until about 11am, then the sun came out and it all disappeared. it's just cold now.
Whoa what was that yellow thing up there? It made the place glow and made me want to go out.....but now it's gone and I see I'm going to have to wrap up after all.

The sun came back and stayed until it set. It was definately a day that you needed a fleece though. Lovely in the sun but a lot colder in the shade.
