Claire got four tickets to see Top Gear being filmed on Wednesday, so we're off to Godalming for the afternoon.

That should be good - I wonder if it's as funny to watch it filmed as to see on TV

Now we have to wait 'til Wed. night for an update on that.

Had a great time at the Top Gear filming though my back is aching after standing for four hours. The banter is non-stop even off camera and a lot has to be edited out because it is too rude for prime-time tv but very funny for the audience watching. Helen Mirren was the celeb guest and she came across well.

 

It was very different to the various Darius things I've been to. Everyone stands, moves around and half way through is a break which gave time for autographs and photos plus they provided tea, biscuits and crisps.

 

It is being shown on Sunday at 8pm. I think I may be in a couple of shots at the end (not sure).

I'm glad you enjoyed it, Nina. I hope I can watch it on Sunday.

I'll try to remember to record it. It's not a programme I usually watch.

 

I'm back after a birthday celebration in England and a funeral in Northern Ireland but I might have to go at any moment. I'm waiting to drive my sister-in-law to the hospital. She is going in for an operation today - maybe!- she is waiting for the sister to call her back to say if there's a bed available.

I hate that not knowing. It's bad enough waiting for an op - but to have to see if there's a bed first is awful. I'm sorry about the funerl. Hope you had a good time at the birthday though.

I'm having trouble trying to stop my father-in-law cutting up the paper napkins. More of the food ends up down him but, he can't see it. I get extra large napkins and keep finding him cutting them into 6" squares. His clothes are still plastered.

 

At least he's not trying to eat the napkins!!
