September 24, 200717 yr Author I've been away reading all the reports from last night, they're all so brilliant and Spiders is stupendous.
September 24, 200717 yr Well ladies, I havent had a chance to read ANYTHING about it yet but I've no doubt the reports over on D are far better than anything I could write. I.m at work and have just slipped on for a couple of minutes. Just wanted to say that it must, for me , rate as one of THE best. We were seated to the side of the stage at the back.....but that still only put us about 20foot away and as the seats are tiered there is no problem seeing. So relaxed, he was so happy - and did he milk the 'Ive been Ill' bit which made us laugh. To be able to sit down - no squashing - with a drink and just watch & take in that voice is a memory I shall treasure......to hear songs he's never sung to us before was wonderful - Ali said it made the hairs stand up on her arms...I have to agree - wonderful...just wonderful ...my emotions are close to the surface today....I couldn't begin to give a proper report .......We also had the added bonus of being seated fairly close to Ashey - Michael G and Wills family and friends. So during the interval he was chatting excitedly to them - he was so animated - a joy to watch...PLUS I had the good fortune to pass by next to him on my way to the ladies....just a foot away from me......I nearly died.... Fantastic evening - I'm still buzzing but I guess I'd better get on with some work.....just wish you could all have been there.....
September 24, 200717 yr Thanks Tillywhim - with so many reports it feels like we were there. Plus I got two phone calls last night - wonderful

September 24, 200717 yr IscaGill has had some texts back from Diane and Will's just walked passed Ronnie Scott's club, he's wearing jeans, tucked in his boots and a green t-shirt. :D Actually he was wearing jeans tucked into Ashley's boots! He had borrowed them for some reason. ;) It was the most fabulous evening with Will at his most relaxed and funny with the voice on top form. Lots of lower register and growls  I was sitting with Lillie from Devoted and we were on the top tier at the left hand side near the stage door. Will was on the left of the little stage with sixteen musicians! Every time he turned to the pianist we could see his funny expressions. He got on so well with the band members. He seems to make friends everywhere he goes. He had a white frilly shirt, braces, black trousers and co-respondent shoes (black and white) The shirt sleeves were rolled up and he had a wooden bracelet on his right wrist. I know you want to know what he wore! If he doesn't release a jazz CD it will be a tragedy! We saw John Barrowman outside the stage door of the Prince Edward theatre opposite! He's a bit of all right. :D Edited September 24, 200717 yr by Pearl
