September 18, 200717 yr I expect Liverpool and Porto to draw. Chelsea to comfortably beat Rosenborg Celtic to lose to Shakhtar Donetsk.
September 18, 200717 yr Author Not so sure Porto's penatly was genuine, the player seemed to go down all too easily and took a dramatic tumble and his reaction was looking to the ref with his hands up in the hair. Porto look really good though! Liverpool seem to be a bit lacking sometime and wasteful with posession.
September 18, 200717 yr Current scores mostly all half time Group A FC Porto 1-1 Liverpool Marseille 0-0 Besiktas Group B Chelsea 0-1 Rosenborg Schalke 04 0-0 Valencia Group C Olympiacos 0-0 Lazio Real Madrid 1-1 Werder Bremen Group D AC Milan 2-0 Benfica Shakhtar Donetsk 2-0 Celtic oh deer chelsea or losing :heehee:

September 18, 200717 yr Final Scores: Group A FC Porto 1-1 Liverpool (Liverpool were very poor, the gamesmanship/diving/cheating of the Porto players was worse) Marseille 1-0 Besiktas Group B Chelsea 1-1 Rosenborg (A 2nd half Shevchenko goal not enough to avoid Mourinho leaving Stamford Bridge with egg on his face!) Schalke 04 0-1 Valencia Group C Olympiacos 1-1 Lazio Real Madrid 2-1 Werder Bremen Group D AC Milan 2-0 Benfica Shakhtar Donetsk 2-0 Celtic (At least the Scottish Rugby Union team did much better tonight)
September 18, 200717 yr Author Kind of a bad night all round really for the British teams. I guess Liverpool will be pleased with a point though. It's a hard ground to play at and in recent years Porto have had a good record against British teams. Chelsea really should have been looking to get 3 easy points tonight though.
September 19, 200717 yr Shakthar could be dark horses this year. While I'm not surprised Celtic kept up their abysmal away run in Europe I was impressed by the squad that's been compiled up in Ukraine. They should do very well against everyone on their home soil, including Milan. Didn't see any of the other games.
September 19, 200717 yr So anyone ready for a second night of champions league football? Rangers, Manchester United and Chelsea are all in action tonight. Last night in the league cup rematch between Nottingham Forest and Leciester, the latter team let Forest score a free goal from kickoff to recrate the halftime scoreline from the previous incounter where Leciester's on loan player Clive Clarke suffered a double heart failure. Forest lost 3-2 in the end. Should the result have been 3-1 though? Were Leicester right to give Forest the free goal? What if they had lost by 1 goal after 90mins? Anyway I think it was the right thing to do i don't know about anyone else

Personally we should change the rule for abandoned games to the same rules as in Spain. If a match is abandoned at half-time, then the game restarts on a later date with the second 45 minutes left to play, and the same scores & number of players & substitutes left as it was when the match was originally abandoned.
September 19, 200717 yr Current scores. Champions League Rangers 1 - 1 Stuttgart Barcelona 1 - 0 Lyon Roma 2 - 0 Dynamo Kiev Sporting 0 - 1 Manchester United PSV Eindhoven 1 - 0 CSKA Moscow Fenerbahce 1 - 0 Internazionale Slavia Praha 2 - 1 Steaua Bucharest Arsenal 1 - 0 Sevilla

September 20, 200717 yr Uefa cup action tonight The British teams in action Aberdeen v Dnipro 20:05 Everton v FC Metalist Kharkiv 20:00 Larissa v Blackburn 16:00 Rabotnicki Kometal v Bolton 19:00 Tottenham v Anorthosis Famagusta 20:00 So far the only British team to crashout is Dunfermline, what are peoples predictions for tonights games, are any British teams at risk of going out? Bolton, Spurs and Aberdeen haven't had the best start to their seasons. Where as Everton and Blackburn are 7th and 8th in the Premier League after getting 10 and 9 points respectively. So the opposition, yes I haven't heard of any of these teams either. Blackburn kick off first against Larissa, who were last seasons Greek cup winners, they have played just one game in the Greek season which they won 1-0 away from home, that was 18days ago, yes Larissa haven't played in 18 days! Does anyone actualy know what countries the other British teams opponets are from?
September 20, 200717 yr There are two matches you can watch on terrestrial tv tonight. As none of the UK other than Scotland could possibly care about Aberdeen :P you can watch their match from 8pm on BBC 1 Scotland, if you have Sky and live in the rest of the UK you can watch it on there, i think freeview may be the same but I am unsure. You can watch Everton against Ukraniane side FC Metalist Kharkiv on Channel 5 from 7.30pm
