I know it's pretty much the most dull film ever, but I'd be ever so grateful if any of you could answer me these as they've been bugging me, pretty much for forever!:

1] In the end, what made Michael like stand in the corner? I know someone mentioned it at the start, but why would Michael just go there? :s

2] Is the 'Blair Witch' thing in the film an actual witch/spirity thingy or just your average killer?

3] At the end when Heather's killed and drops her camera, is it her dead body you see in the blurriedness or is it just me?

Thankyou anyone who helps! <3

Unfortunately I don't think you're going to get any answers beyond speculation. Blair Witch Project challenges the traditional structure of a film in that there is no beginning, middle and end. It leaves much to the imagination, including the sudden conclusion.

A lot of people hated the film for this reason but I've always found it terrifying and even satisafying. It's not about sitting down and watching a story, it's about the sensory experience of watching the film. A lot of great filmmakers have used this technique well, like David Lynch and even Kubrick.

The only question I can speculate on is your second question. Most people assume that it's the "Blair Witch" causing all of the mahem but I always saw that as sort of a distraction. They are filmmakers documenting an old legend but that's just the excuse for getting lost in the woods. What's torturing them every night doesn't have to have anything to do with the blair witch legend.

Fully agree... I LOVE the ending... brilliant post.

I'd REALLY like to know the answer to them questions, too.

tbh, I find The Blair Witch creepy...I don't think it's dull at all.

I think the only reason I find it dull now is because I watched it like, 7 times in two days to try and figure out the answers to the questions ahah, I'm cooool...

I usually like films that leave you to speculate but this one's so annoying because there's just lots to take in hah.

Have any of you seen the uhh...Shadowy one. I don't remember what it's called, but the sequel? Is that any good? I'm scared to see it because it might be really rubbish and ruin the first one a bit!

Personally I loved this film.

Question 1 & 3 can be answered like this. Michael standing in the corner represents what the Blair Witch did to other children while she killed the others i.e Heather, and that is why she drops the camera. Im sure im right cos I was a bit obsessed by this film for a while lol.

Question 2 is harder to answer. One thing I will say is that its not an actual real person. I would go for a spirit type of the blair witch

Hope this helped

DON'T WATCH THE SEQUEL, it's one of the worst films I've ever seen, just godawful. I'm begging you, don't watch it!!!

Is the Blair Witch Project based on a true story or something, I've seen the film and I didn't like it at all, it just got boring, and the end was really confusing :(
The pseudo-documentary style filming gave me a fricking headache in the movietheatre....the movie was such a let-down even thou I had the feeling that might happen beforehand. There were no thrills, c**p "acting", and overall nothing happens. All Nightmare On Elm Street sequels and Friday The 13th sequels (even Jason X) are better than this piece of $h!t. Thou gotta give kudos for the makers/marketing team for the superb marketing campaing that made millions of people spent their money to see this fiasco. That has to be one of the best campaings of the past decade.

I think some people think this film is a let down becuase by the time it was released outside the US it was far to over-hyped as being one of the scariest film ever and people were expecting something more than what it actually was. It wasnt in your face scares, it just plays with your mind and I think that just made it scarier becuase you never actually see anything. I personally loved it and it scared the $h!t out me. Thank god I saw it before all the hype.

As for the sequel. I actually really liked it :o . Obv wasnt as good as the first but I dont think its as bad as what everyone made it out to be in my opinion anyway.

I went on YouTube to see a trailr for it from, forever ago, and it looked awful. Like a tacky Halloween H20-esque movie ):

I might buy it any as it's only like £3 ahah. I've decided that the only time it's really c**p is when you watch it with other people. It's the kind of film where you have to like, put your concentration fully in to it and minor distractions well ruin it!

The film's not supose to be 'scary-in your face-horror', it's more physiological, and personally that scared me!
