Posted September 22, 200717 yr Ian Brown: There's better than Winehouse Former Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown has claimed there are plenty of better singers than Amy Winehouse. The 'Illegal Attacks' musician has claimed he is not particularly impressed by Winehouse and argues that it may be racism that has held back other performers, who he believes are superior. When asked about the singer, Brown told NME: "Am I a fan? Not really. I think there's loads of black girls who sing like that but better...but that's the way the world is." However, Brown admitted that he did sympathise with Winehouse's recent drug problems. He commented: "Fame and hard drugs are a lethal mixture. I feel sorry for her, with all those tattoos.
