Posted September 25, 200717 yr Chocolate, Crisps and Sweets from the newsagent 1960 - 1990 Recently there was a campaign to re-launch the 1980s chocolate bar called the ‘Wispa’, which reminded of another chocolate bar that I used to like eating in the 1980s called the ‘Gambit’. This was marketed as a special bar as it was a mixture of both milk and dark chocolate all formulated into one small block. Unfortunately for me, most customers thought this bar was pointless and so production stopped not so long after being introduced. What other chocolates, crisps and sweets were there back then that you wished were available now?
September 25, 200717 yr I'd like to see the return of Milk Tray/Plain Choice bars (like a box of chocolates but condensed into a bar). Also, I would welcome a Fry's Five Centres revival.
September 25, 200717 yr 'bazooka joe' chewing gum, barrats sherbet fountains, lucky bags, rainbow crystals, anyone remember them cards you could collect, had a stick of chewing gum in it plus 3 cards of various topics, the ones i remember best were 'ugly' stickers from '67.
September 25, 200717 yr Author The ‘Garbage Pail Kids’? I collected loads of those, but never liked the gum inside the pack.

September 25, 200717 yr I used to love Texan bars but I think they'd pull my teeth out now if I had one !!!!!! They were tough chewy nougat with chocolate on them from the mid 70s. Also, Aztec bars were great , a bit like Mars Bars . Can you still get Old Jamaica bars with rum ?
September 25, 200717 yr I collected Garbage Pail Kids, but in hindsight they were a total waste of money! I'd campaign to make Wham! bars the same size they used to be!

I have not seen them in the shops for years, which is a pity as I used to love those bars and ‘Rum & Raisin Cornettos’ from the ‘Ice-Cream Man’ as well.
