EastEnders has averaged 8.7 million this week after averaging 9.5m last week.

Average rating for Easenders so far this year is 9.3m, behind Coronation Street.

:o What happend the rising ratings :(

It's due to the emmerdale clashes, they had a huge episode on tuesday, which brought EE's average way down. ITV are such unprofessional t**** with these stupid hour specials, as it is doing nothing but preventing fans of both shows from seeing both. The Government introduced a law years ago that stated Corrie and EE were never to go up against eachother, so the same should be done in this situation. Besides, when EE's repeats are added, it is far far higher, as it gets huge ratings for the repeats.

Enjoyed last nights episode. I wonder if Phil is going to go to jail yet again after this?

enjoyed tonight's episode. the stuff with ronnie talking to honey & honey "comforting" roxy was funny.

the stuff with jack & phil wasn't too bad either.

Good episode. I am enjoying this feud between Jack and Phil now.

EE peaked at 10.67m last night, with repeats added from BBC3, it is way ahead as per usual. :D

Max is shocking, no shame what so ever

i know!

i loved tanya's comment though about her being worried that the next girl he slept with (if she took him back) would be younger than stacey.

I missed the first few minutes or so but the Honey/Ronnie story was hilarious

Haha, really?

Anyway, from now on, Emmerdale will be on for an hour every Tuesday anyway because ITV want to scrap Soaps on Sundays. I hope that Eastenders is moved back to 8pm on Tuesdays because I like to watch both, but I always choose Eastenders over Emmerdale anyway. I just don't like soaps competing with each other so much, are we not allowed to like both? I find the same happens with shows like the X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing. I'd like to watch both but the channels are too busy fighting for ratings that I can only watch one.

its stupid pitting them together as fans of both lose out,i dont watch emmerdale so i wont be bothered but its a no win situation for fans,i know people can record both but even if people watch emmerdale they know they can catch eastenders on sunday,no matter itv think emmerdale will never be part of the UK's top 2 soaps
It's stupid that Emmerdale have moved to an hour on Tuesday, it just pisses of fans of both soaps. I will be watching EE though. Emmerdale is'nt spectualar.
I know it is very annoying. EE should just move to 8pm instead, to avoid ED bringing down their average ratings. Without the clash they would be right up their with Corrie, and when repeats are added from BB3, way ahead. Last night EE got 10.3m, with Corrie getting 10.6m. So both very close on overnights this week. ED is only on 8mm which is actaully high by it's standards tbh
I NEVER watch Corrie though I might have to start tuning in to see the nice new girl (who plays David's girlfriend)
ITV are using emmerdale to make sure corrie win the ratings battle, all they are doing is pushing more people to watch the sunday omnibious of eastenders, itv know eastenders is a huge threat and eastenders tops the ratings so they want corrie to always win, however im sure eastenders other episodes will be as high or near as high as corrie regardless, eastenders is on top form now and corrie is struggling and likewise with emmerdale
That was a hilarious episode, Billy asking Gary for glue  Gary rips out glue from his jacket and gives to Billy. And it was funny when Billy re-wired the house, light switch turn the TV on  the radio turn the lights on  And I loved it when Honey says "What's Pat Going To Say" Honey has the best one liners all the time, she always makes me laugh
