Posted September 26, 200717 yr Soul singer Joss Stone, right, will be appearing at Jazziz Bistro in Hollywood on Sunday — not to sing, but to help judge a homegrown star search that is scheduled to air next year. So say representatives of Pop Starz, Inc., a South Florida company producing The Next Pop Star, another entry in the arguably saturated market for American Idol-style competitions. Where, exactly, the show will air isn't clear yet. A Pop Starz press release says only that it will be a 13-week series, "premiering in January 2008 in the Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach County areas on television and the Web. The Finale is slated for March 29, 2008, in Miami." But The Next Pop Star has lined up noteworthy judges. Stone joins a panel including Miami soul singer and voice coach Betty Wright — one of Stone's mentors — and Danity Kane vocalist Aubrey O'Day. Contestants must pre-register at bethenextpopstar.com or y100.com. Auditions begin 9 a.m. Sunday at Jazziz Bistro, 5751 Seminole Way, at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino (954-583-8335, jazzizbistro.com). thanks to www.sun-sentinel.com :yahoo: You can appy if you want to :w00t: :P
