My name's Bill Mohin and I'm casting for a show called Wannabe for VH1 UK which aims to create the ultimate Spice Girls tribute band to coincide with the upcoming Spice Girl reunion. To do this VH1 is going to hold auditions all over the UK in the coming months.

The whole process will be filmed and shown on VH1 later in the year. The only requirement is that our applicants have to be over 25 as we are trying to give a modern account of the Spice Girls today. The final girls that are selected for the group will play at a top London venue in December

If you know of anybody who would be interested it would be great if you could contact either mohin.bill@mtvne.com or go to www.vh1.co.uk/wannabe.

This should be a great program and a huge hit in the UK.

Cheers all,

'Say You'll Be There!'

First one to say Scary Spice gets banned. :smoke:

VH1 is to celebrate the Spice Girls reunion tour by putting together a girl power tribute band.

The six episodes of Wannabe: Spice Girls will intersperse footage of the auditioning process with clips of the iconic girl group's chart-topping pop career.

A panel of industry experts and girl power specialists - Big Brother's Chanelle Hayes, Totally Boyband's Roseann McBride, the Spice Girls' former stylist Kenny Ho and the group's one-time vocal coach David Laudat - will select the members of the tribute act.

Auditions will take place in the home towns of the pop five-piece - London, Watford, Leeds and Liverpool - from October 19.

Executive producer Jeremy Davies said: "We're really looking forward to seeing the girls who grew up learning all the Spice Girls songs and iconic dance moves auditioning for our band.

"And with the team behind the Spice Girls' success on hand for advice and support we're sure our girls will do Posh, Sporty, Ginger, Scary and Baby proud!"

Wannabe: Spice Girls will premiere on November 16 on VH1.

How unnecessary seeing that the real thing is nearly upon us. :D
