Kylie to headline Glasto?

Tuesday, 25 Sep 2007 16:29

Kylie could be appearing on the Pyramid Stage in 2008.

Kylie Minogue is reportedly being lined up as one of the headliners for next year's Glastonbury Festival.

The Aussie popstar was forced to cancel an appearance three years ago after being diagnosed with breast cancer.

But after a triumphant return to the public eye, the Spinning Around singer - now in remission from the disease - is a frontrunner to top the bill at Worthy Farm in 2008.

Event organiser Michael Eavis - this week the recipient of the best festival gong at the Vodafone Live Music Awards - said: "We've got seven headline acts we're looking at. And yes, Kylie is one of them," according to the World Entertainment News Network.

After a four-year break from studio recording, Minogue is set to release her tenth album, X, on November 26th.

Robbie Williams' former writing partner Guy Chambers has collaborated with Cathy Dennis on production duties, while Acceptable in the 80s star Calvin Harris features on Heart Beat Rock.

The release of X is preceded by new documentary White Diamond, detailing Kylie's 2006 Showgirl Homecoming World Tour.

The film will be premiered at Vue cinemas on October 16th.

She was great at T in the park, I know Glastonbury is a little different but didn't the sugababes and sophie ellis bextor play there this year, or am I hallucinating that thought???
I think it would be great, I think these festivals need to more mixed, Ive been to Leeds Festival the last 2 years and theres not much variation at all, I know Glastonbury is a bit more varied mind you, so this would be good, plus I'm thinking about going next year and wouldnt mind seeing her. :)
