Posted September 29, 200717 yr http://i.imdb.com/Photos/Ss/0476964/995r.jpg This is The brave one with Jodie Foster as Erica Bain and Terrence Howard as Detective Mercer. Erica is a late night DJ sounding radio presenter type whose show seems to broadcast during drivetime for the only reason that she can get into trouble later on and shoot loads of people after she gets beaten up, gets left for dead and then turns vagulante type. its alright as a film but a bit of a plodder and nothing special (no Crying Game shocks where Jodie reveals she has got a large pen*s or anything like that), but the endings got a nice little humourous twist and theres some nice shots (cinematography wise rather than pumpin full of lead type) which at least compensate for a lot of the blah earlier on. Saying that, the film is essentially the same idea as Batman, but with pointy ears replaced by lesbian chic, and you know with batman its gonna be over within 40 mins (just in time for screenwipe!!!*) http://www.toxicshock.tv/news/wp-content/uploads/brave_one_poster_jodie_foster.jpg This is Chloe the crack whore when she is not being locked up in a car and being rock offspring http://img2.timeinc.net/ew/dynamic/imgs/070621/ew100movies/zoe_l.jpg http://www.goodbadjuicy.com/wp-content/uploads/2006/12/LennyandZoe.jpg http://www.cracked.com/jp/ck07.jpg *obv the batman that i watched last night on bbc4 before charlie brooker's screenwipe
October 2, 200717 yr This looks quite good. Ok, I know it has got some bad reviews, but it got alot of good ones as well and seems to have divided people. Some people feel it is too silly, but overall, everyone seems to be saying how brilliant Jodie Foster is in it. I really like the story and Foster, so I recken I will enjoy it, despite the fact that it is meant to be too unrealistic.
October 4, 200717 yr The movie was an inspiration for the women, I salute the women who are brave, has the courage to face what ever trials/challenges in life may give..Well about the movie, It was so inspiring as I say, Jodie Foster is certified award winning actress, she was so great....
October 5, 200717 yr To be honest, it just comes off like a tarted up version of "Death Wish" with a woman doing the shooting instead of old Chuck Bronson... To be fair, Neil Jordan does try his best to inject a bit of originality into such hackneyed, cliched material, but just doesn't quite pull it off..... Jodie Foster is nothing less than her usual excellent self, but it has to be said, the script did need a bit more work on it.... 6/10....
