Posted September 30, 200717 yr Kylie axes shocking documentary scenes Sunday, September 30 2007, 09:56 BST Digitalspy.com By Daniel Kilkelly Kylie Minogue has axed shocking scenes from her forthcoming TV documentary, according to a report today. The Australian singer was filmed by her close friend William Baker for White Diamond, which follows her pop comeback after beating breast cancer. However, footage of Kylie getting angry with her then-boyfriend Olivier Martinez before going on stage for one of her Showgirl Homecoming concerts has been removed. A revealing costume change scene has also been banned. A source told the News of the World: "Kylie wanted a warts-and-all documentary, but there are loads of scenes fans will never see because they don't fit in with the image she likes to project. "In one of the cut scenes Kylie's boobs are on display as she gets undressed. No scarring is visible because she had clever reconstructive surgery after the partial mastectomy to remove her cancer. But she was extremely unhappy about its inclusion in the final edit so it got chopped." The insider added: "There was a scene where she was on the phone to Olivier saying, very emotionally, 'You said you were coming', before breaking down in tears. In another part she's talking about Olivier and gets angry and starts shouting about him letting her down." Do you think she is right to cut these scenes or not?
September 30, 200717 yr Question should be Do you think this article is stirring up non-existent trouble or not? Kylie has gone on record to say this documentary would be warts-and-all. I can only imagine she'd cut scenes if either they showed off her body (ie. the breast scene) or if they perhaps contained things said about Martinez, and if she has cut any scenes of those natures then she has every right to.
September 30, 200717 yr i agree, and also what is reported she is cutting out i agree with as its very personnel stuff and kylie is right is keep it private
September 30, 200717 yr She's right to do whatever she feels comfortable with. It is her documentary afterall and it's up to her what people see.
October 1, 200717 yr Can't agree anymore. -_- P.S. When I saw the title, I thought Kylie would axe the premier for the film...
October 3, 200717 yr She's right to do whatever she feels comfortable with. It is her documentary afterall and it's up to her what people see. I completely agree. Also, I doubt whether ANY woman (whether they had cancer or not) would want their breasts exposed to the world, I know I sure wouldn't. Plus the DVD is meant to be about her comeback and fighting cancer et al and fighting with a French bloke doesn't really have anything to do with the topic, she shouldn't have to put it on there if she doesn't want to. ^_^
October 4, 200717 yr yes again i agree its all about what kylie is comfortable presenting to the world and anything she isnt comfortable with shouldnt be on it
