Another one in the series of Forgotten Gems mixes. This time Dunproofin's had a run through 1992 and come up with the following.

4. Inner City - 'Hallelujah 92 (Leftfields' High on Hope Vocal Mix)'

5. Cud - 'Rich and Strange'

6. Faith No More - 'Midlife Crisis'

Two absolute top tunes there. Teethgrinder is still one of my Top Tunes ever. Easy to Smile is also a great song but I have to say Homophobic a$$hole is probably the Senseless Things best song.

Saw them a few times, think the first time was as an unannounced support act for the Wonder Stuff in 88 or 89.

Yay - Yeah, I'd have had 'Homophobic a-hole' in the December slot of this mix. I remember being amazed that it didn't chart, but I suppose the album was already out by then and it wasn't exactly getting much radio or TV coverage with a name like that.

A great mix of records.

It is good to see that ‘Cud’, ‘the Definition of Sound’, FSOL’s ‘Stakker Humanoid’ and ‘the Fred EP’ are remembered as fondly as all the other choices.

well you cant see it being played on the hits top 40 rundown can you now

Curve - Fait Accompli and Humanoid - Stakker (Gary Cobain '94 Mix) are two top class songs! :yahoo:

In fact Gary Cobain is a member of Future Sound of London, one of my fave electronc band... :P

Does anyone else remember a record from this time called ‘Soap Singer’s Beat’? I think it was on ‘Epic Records’ by a band called the ‘Forget Me Nots’ and went:

“All those records you release, same to me to me, all your jokes and all your TV, same to me to me, Soap Singer’s Beat, same again”
