Absolutely adore this, my fave song by them to date

 

If this doesnt reach the top 30, there's something seriously wrong with the British public

their best for ages, but i still prefer 'dreaming of you' and 'goodbye' was fantastic with its beckesque guitar break... (as in jeff beck from the yardbirds, in case you didnt get the referance)

The Coral are one of those bands that should be more popular than what they actually are.

 

But I seem to have that opinion historically, about a lot of "Scouse" acts like Julian Cope/Teardrops Explodes, Echo & The Bunnymen, The Icicle Works, The Lightning Seeds, etc...

now i'm quite surprised that Shack (pale fountains/The Strands) were not mentioned in this list as if you look at the critics they would be first on a should be more popular liverpool band list

They would, although my list was in broadly historical order, hence I tailed off with an etc before getting to The Las (circa 1990)...
