January 22, 200817 yr Spain's national final is on March 1st. The 10 finalists will be selected through MySpace! Very excited about that one.
January 22, 200817 yr Author Oh that's an interesting way of doing things. Still, I don't suppose they can do much worse than they have in recent years!
January 22, 200817 yr Oh that's an interesting way of doing things. Still, I don't suppose they can do much worse than they have in recent years! I agree. Whether it will produce a successful entry at Eurovision is debateable, but they're pushing the boundaries of what can be done, which is a good thing, and if it gives an unknown artist with lots of talent a chance to shine, then I won't be complaining.
January 25, 200817 yr Hmm studio version of Belarus is very good! :D It's how it's performed on the night that matters. After all, Ireland's entry last year was great in the studio, but she couldn't hit a note on the actual night (hence why they finished bottom). Edited January 25, 200817 yr by DitzyNizzy
January 26, 200817 yr Malta's national final tonight! I'm really really hoping Morena makes it with "Vodka" and not bland predictable Carvaggio by Claudia Feniello. Edited January 26, 200817 yr by Peter30
January 26, 200817 yr I rarely dislike the Maltese entries though the last two years have been below par by their usual standards...their 2002, 2003, 2004 entries were all absolutely brilliant and topped my personal chart while Chiara's Angel in 2005 was also great
January 26, 200817 yr I've heard Andorra and seems to be the firm favourite of mine so far. Please don't knock Malta, I think Vodka will do well http://www.eurovisionmalta.com/2008/sfe/
January 26, 200817 yr Nice entry from Czech Republic...a million times better than their awful debut song...I'm sensing a future top 10 hit on the 'Good Delta Hit Parade'
January 26, 200817 yr Author Morena - Vodka is the winning song for Malta. She actually entered a song called 'Casanova' too. :o We could've had two Casanovas!
January 26, 200817 yr Thank goodness for Vodka winning the Maltese selection!! Glad that the Maltese actually voted with their eyes and ears rather than just by the more famous artists in the selection. Vodka is definitely the song out of the seven we've heard so far that has the potential to do very well. Czech Republic is a bit bland....sounds like something out of High School Musical, but less energy. As for qualification, apparently her live vocals aren't the best, so I think chances are slim. Yet more Europop! YAWN!!!
February 2, 200817 yr My goodness. Quite a strange night for national finals tonight! Lithuania are sending Jeronimas Milius with "Nomads in the night" and Azerbaijan are going with Elnur and Samir with "Day By Day" Watch them both, and you'll find they're quite peculiar! However more baffling than both of them put together is the song Estonia has gone for ahead of a fairly decent batch of entries. Kreisiraadio sing "Leto Svet" which is a bit like a football chant. I'm starting to think it's so pathetic it's funny though. As long as it doesn't do a Verka and become a serious contender then it's fine by me. Finally there is "All Night Long" by Simon Mathew for Denmark. It's quite Beatles-esque and I like it. It's quite catchy and I can see some of you guys liking it. Bit bland though.
February 2, 200817 yr Lithuanian Entry CdjPk_XZ2rU Danish Entry NvIADwHjFg0 No video for the Estonian entry yet, but the mp3 says all you need to know I think. Kreisiradio - Leto Svet
February 3, 200817 yr Here's Estonia's entry. It is VILE Agreed. I usually love Estonia's selection (Especially Partners in Crime  ) The 2nd place song was REALLY GOOD! How did this win? I still prefer it to Azerbaijan though.
