I was thinking of doing it all in 1 thread

The chart at the top and let people post there next weeks chart in the same thread?

PS. You need to tell Jack Jones his chart has 12 songs in it. I dont think he read the rules properly lol.

But there is a actually a good reason for top 12. Since my top 10 included a couple of tracks I wasn't sure would necessarily qualify into dance category here so I decided to include a few extra ones so if those few would be disqualified, then there still would be top ten left. So that's why my list is top ten plus two just in case needed to fill out the gaps.

And for Timbaland, it is up to Johnny to decide what to include but the reason why I included is that the track, the main version, not a remix is a top five dance hit around the world, including top 5 in the GLOBAL DANCE TRAXX Top 200. His previous Give It To Me got loads of club play as a remix just like Apologize will get next but The Way I Are is a dance hit as a main version so I think it should be included. If the track would have been made by some dance dj, but the song remaining exactly the same, it would certainly be allowed to be in this chart. Just like J-Lo, she is considered pop/rnb so no matter how dancey her song is it won't be labelled dance since she is not labeled that way...so I think when considered what is dance we should consider each song, not the status of the singer.

I decided not to include Rihanna and Timbaland

But the rest were OK, good idea on posting 12 ^_^

Oh that was a good idea. The reason I commented was, it was something I just happened to notice and its a nightmare calculating what points to award each song when charts arent made up of the generic 5, 10 or 20 songs. Sorry. What I used to do was go through people's charts halfway through the week and advised them that a certain song cannot be included and if they wish to replace it with something. If they didnt get back to me in time, I just included however many (8 eg.) and the points for nos. 9 and 10 werent included.

I still would NOT consider Timbaland as a dance artist, neither "The Way I Are" as a dance track, his song may be in the Global Dance Traxx chart but this is contributed worldwide and other countries' consideration of dance is less purist (shall we say) than the UK's. "Give It To Me" may have gotten loads of club play, but as you said, this was on the strength of the remix which will be considered as a dance track.

Timbaland's track would not be created by a dance DJ and considered because a dance DJ would NEVER create such a track, it is not in-keeping with their sound.

I agree with this comment, you can have tracks by R&B artists but they can be included in the chart on the strength of a DANCE remix. It is STILL a dance track just not created by a dance artist. Eg. I would include Sugababes "About You Now" but only on the premise a remix is stated (eg. Spencer & Hill remix). Thats my view but its Jonny's chart so he should discriminate as he wishes.

It really depends on your definition of dance -_-

"Sugababes - About You Now" You can dance to it but it is Pop

"LeAnn Rimes - Nothin' Better To Do" You can dance to it but it is Country

"Jennifer Lopez - Do It Well" You can dance to it but is R&B

Etc ;)

It's clearly obvious they aren't dance though

You can dance to any song :P

1. Robyn- With Every Heartbeat

2. Jennifer Lopez- Do It Well

3. Dave Spoon- Bad Girl

4. Booty Luv- Don't Mess With My Man

5. The Freaks- Creeps

1. Fedde Le Grande Vs Ida Corr - Let Me Think About It

2. Robyn Ft. Kleerup - With Every Heartbeat

3. Freemasons - Uninvited

4. Shapeshifters - New Day

5. Booty Luv - Don't Mess With My Man

6. Sonny J - Can't Stop Moving

7. Armand Van Helden - I Want Your Soul
