March 12, 200619 yr Author Fly Like A Bird will not be released in the UK, Mercury have already said so. However they have confirmed Say Something, so it looks like Fly Like A Bird will be USA only thank God :cheer:
March 12, 200619 yr Author it shoudl be the other way round... FLAB (LOL!) is much better than SS I agree However Say Something is so much more comercial than Fly Like A Bird, Fly Like A Bird will only appeal to a certain demographic, while Say Something is quite innoffensive and will potentially appeal to the masses ^_^
March 12, 200619 yr potentially being the key word in that Kelly lol... I always skip that song... 1 because I dont like adn 2 because Stay The Night follows it...
March 12, 200619 yr Author potentially being the key word in that Kelly lol... I always skip that song... 1 because I dont like adn 2 because Stay The Night follows it... I still think Say Something would do much better in the UK than Fly Like A Bird, however the USA is a different story, since Fly Like A Bird has had a lot more exposure over there, like numerous performances, and the Grammy outing etc ^_^
March 12, 200619 yr oh definatly... and its a bit too gospel influenced for the UK... but personally I prefer FLAB...
March 12, 200619 yr That promotional cd is purple. My mother's favourite colour. April eh? Not far away as we're nearly halfway through March already. :arrr:
March 15, 200619 yr Author The single is being released in the UK, mid-May time ^_^ Just in time for summer, it could be one of those summer smashes you never know
March 16, 200619 yr you never know, and I hope it has some success... but maybe Im bitter because STN didnt get released... which is ovciuously one of the best sons on the CD
March 19, 200619 yr FLAB, although a great song, wouldn't appeal to the UK imo. Sure it's a good song, but when was the last time a gospel type song was a big hit in the UK. Snoop has enjoyed lots of sucess in the UK recently and it's probably the safest track to release as the final single. I remember talking to somebody a few months ago, around the time Shake It Off was released, and they didn't want SS released coz the song was like songs from Glitter and that bombed commercially. However, Mariah has been doing hip hop songs since Honey and SS is a commercial hip hop song which will certainly do well
March 19, 200619 yr Author I think maybe the reason Say Somethin' didn't do well on radio first time round was because people weren't sure how to take Mariah anymore since Glitter bombed, and Charmbracelet wasn't recepted too well, even It's Like That got a bit of a lukewarm reception, #14 on Billboard and then after We Belong Together, it became hit after hit after hit, so now it may do better, but the album is dropping fast, but then again it has done amazingly so you can't really expect much else -_-
March 19, 200619 yr SS was leaked to radio by a fan so sony tried to stop it, hence why ITL was released, even though say something was supposed to be. I think Sony wouldn't have minded, except for the fact that it leaked January time and the album was about 2 months away from completion
March 19, 200619 yr Author I think you mean Island Def Jam :P Maybe, the album was released in early May or was it late April  Anywho It's Like That brought Mariah back into the top5 in the UK, and Charmbracelets #52 charting in the UK was repremanded in the respectable top10 placing of Mimi, so I guess It's Like That was the best choice ^_^

March 19, 200619 yr Author I understand you really like that album but for me, it's Mariahs worst album. I love them all bar Charmbracelet, don't get me wrong it has its' good tracks, like Through The Rain, You Got Me, Bringing On The Heartbreak (Which I LOVE the video for by the way, so much passion, amazing) and Clown, but the rest bore me completely, however many regard Glitter was the worst Mariah album but I love it  The 80's pop thing really works for the Kelly
March 19, 200619 yr  I love 'Sunflowers For Alfred Roy' one of my fav Mariah songs, its so personal and at one points she sounds like she will cry :o  I like the way that she balances out the power ballads and the hip hop songs equally, and although it may not be as strong as some of her other albums e.g mimi, I find it a lot easier to listen to it all the way through without stopping
March 19, 200619 yr Author See i'm forever skipping tracks on that album, the only albums I can listen to all the way through without stopping are: Mariah Carey Butterfly Glitter The Emancipation Of Mimi
March 19, 200619 yr when I first got TEOM I used to only listen to the first 8 tracks and sprung coz I didn't like the circles song
