I'll try and post again - last time I got page not found then server busy.

I just said that that had made my day. It was my favorite of the tour. It gave me goosebumps. I just hope he plays that one on one of his accoustic gigs. I like the album track but, live it was just so good.

Thank you

Wow ....

OMG we were just sooooooooooooooooooooo cheated by THEM not allowing us to have a video of the Dive In Tour .....

A number of people said there were video cameras in evidence at the Manchester gigs .... I wonder what happened to that footage

Down the black hole I expect ....

*pfft*

Thanks Pip - those are great to watch

I've done a search on youtube previously for Darius - and never found anything on there, I've noticed that other artists sections seem to put up links to videos and had been wondering if it would be a good idea to have Darius's video's on there too.

The footage taken in Manchester (or some of it anyway) was used for TV programmes Pat (I can't just recall which TVs it was shown on at the moment - but when I saw whatever it was (there was concert, background and other behind the scenes sorts of footage), I recognised it as being from Manchester.

I do think though there probably is footage of the whole thing overall - maybe taken at various places. I think I remember Jonny saying something about it wasn't felt to be good enough quality for release though, but was going to try and get at least some it put on the official site - of course that never happened, perhaps as much to do with the parting of ways of Darius and Mercury, as anything else. So, I still sort of hold on to a hope that at least some official Dive In tour footage might pop up somewhere one day. Even if, it wasn't good enough for a commercial release (I think they should have made sure it was though from the outset) - I, like probably most of us, just want it for the memories

There was what appeared to be a professional video camera and operator standing alongside the circle at the hammersmith Apollo during the whole concert, there was also a similar video camera in evidence at the Butlins concert.I think it would be a good idea to have videos of his performances and any/all songs on any/all sites possible to enable the public to see his songs other than the chart ones. The fact that the tour was not out on video was always odd.

It wasn't odd Preston .. it was CRIMINAL

Dont get me started ....

For any casual browsers of this thread, there is of course that miscellany and treasure trove of all things Darius at Sonnet's site, Dariusmusic.net

Oh PIP, absolutely beautiful  I missed the whole of the Dive In tour :( Thanks so much for showing that here, are there any more, especially from the Dive In Tour, that could be shown here? ;)

there are two new videos gone up though since I last looked, Kinda Love and Live twice from TOTPs

I've just watched the Live Twice one - awe it's lovely

It's brought back all my anger as well though, when I watch that performance and listen to the song, I felt all the sheer frustration of not being able to get it played on the radio come rushing back

But it's so lovely to watch though here's the direct link Live Twice - Thank you LuckyStar for uploading that one

I'm still finding so many new things that I missed because i couldn't get on here for a while.

I didn't really appreciate Mercury Rising until I saw Darius sing it live in the Waterfront that night in April. I WAS STUNNED - he really did make the hairs on my neck stand up. It was so beautiful!

Unfortunately my enjoyment was ruined in Glasgow by a crowd of young teenagers who kept blowing whistles and shouting "Give us a wiggle, Darius!" He was sitting down for goodness sakes - even Darius can't do that!

I desperately want to hear him sing it again at a more intimate and 'adult' gig.

The live version of Live Twice that moved me most was the one from the Heaven and Earth show. Perhaps that's because I was in a more serious frame of mind, as the show is spritually orientated and Darius had made some very interesting and thought provoking points when he was doing the paper review.

the song was even more beautiful live, just him playing his guitar on that stool, wonderful - as you say I wished everyone had not uttered a word - I know I didn't I was spell bound

This was the show I missed and just caught D singing Live Twice at the end. When it was posted on .net, I was shocked, as I had seen 2 extra women(other than the lady on the piano/keyboard) with instruments to D's left hand side(right as I looked at the tv) who didn't appear on the .net version. I remember a lady with a cello particularly, as she seemed to be beaming a smile straight to camera, and I thought it strange that a background musician should engage the camera in that fashion. I was even more shocked that she and this other extra lady did not feature on the .net video, and that no-one else had seen them :o I did post about this on .net, and I can still remember how the lady with the cello looked. Long dark wavy hair(long open twists of hair) and a white cotton type dress. She was seated and the lady next to her, I believe, was standing. Maybe I am

twilight zone

to be honest I vaguely think I noticed someone on the cello as you descibe, but I can't really recall if it was that show. wierd if there is no evidence on the video cap though

Thanks for the video clip prettypink I think Mercury Rising is my all time Darius favourite I play it all the time it was so nice to see the Dive in performance of it. Such a pity the Cambridge venue of the Tour was cancelled I would have been there.

Maybe next time Chris :)
