It's NOT a c**p album. Compare it to another album with good songs which are not "radio friendly". It's just Kelly had a lot more freedom of creativity and expression when writing these songs, a freedom she did not have in Breakaway, when basically all of the songs were co-written or written for her, and were generally more radio-friendly. I can admit that this is quite an incomplete album. The good songs on MD would generally be the "bad" songs on a good album, and the really bad songs would be just scrapped. I agree, however, that if the label had actually LISTENED and foreseen what would happen releasing such an obscure/kinda dark album, then this era would not have flopped. . . as much. :lol:

By the looks of things, the UK will have only got ONE single from 'My December' now - and that is quite tragic. :(

Well, I quite like the album but from me hearing it first off I knew it was not going to do as well as 'Breakaway', but it should have pulled atleast three decent sized hits from the album...

 

Hopefully she will come back and bring us a more commercial album.

No way. :lol: Lyrically, Breakaway isn't as good, but the music is a WHOLE lot better. Behind These Hazel Eyes & Addicted are a few of my favourite songs of all time, but 'My December' is just a whole mess of an album.

I certainly won't. :mellow: My December is a hell of a lot better than Breakaway! We did a poll a while back and it was 50/50.

Yeah for the fans MD seems to be polling much higher than it does in industry related polls. I think its more of a fans album than a general radio album.
