Posted March 12, 200619 yr UK SINGLE NEWS 8/3/2006 Mercury UK confirmed today that there are now plans for a fifth single in the UK.Say Somethin is scheduled for release Mid-May in the UK. Here is also a review of the new single: Add the voice of R&B with a shot of Snoop and mix it with the Neptunes and you have the perfect blend for a hit, Say Somethin is another reason why you should check out her latest album, returning to the winning formula once again, Say Somethin has essence of past tracks such as Crybaby. Say Somethin sparkles off the album, the smooth groove and husky vocals just make me leave it on repeat. Rating: 4 out of 5 Edited April 6, 200718 yr by Flatcap
March 12, 200619 yr I don't think thats an accurate review. I love Mariah but I think this song is horrific. I'd struggle to give it more than 2.5 out of 5! Edited February 21, 200718 yr by Flatcap
March 12, 200619 yr Author Well I'm trying to listen to it more so I can get into it before the single release, but I have had the album nearly a year now and still don't like it. :( Edited February 21, 200718 yr by Flatcap
March 12, 200619 yr Me neither, it's just poor. There isn't much I like about it. Much better songs she could have released. Edited February 21, 200718 yr by Flatcap
March 12, 200619 yr Author Me neither, it's just poor. There isn't much I like about it. Much better songs she could have released. Exactly Your Girl Stay The Night Makin' It Last All Night So Lonely (especially) -_- Edited February 21, 200718 yr by Flatcap
March 12, 200619 yr They are the songs I would have listed, although Mine Again would have been on my list. Edited February 21, 200718 yr by Flatcap
March 12, 200619 yr Author They are the songs I would have listed, although Mine Again would have been on my list. That's a ballad, and after a few slow songs in a row I think it's time for a little more up-tempo. Edited February 21, 200718 yr by Flatcap
March 12, 200619 yr Yes I agree. I can't believe Say Somethin is being released. Next To The Floor will be going to radio too! Edited February 21, 200718 yr by Flatcap

March 12, 200619 yr How bad is it that both Snoop and Nelly are on the same album? Edited February 21, 200718 yr by Flatcap
March 12, 200619 yr Can't be as bad as Shake It Off surely? :o Edited February 21, 200718 yr by Flatcap
March 12, 200619 yr Can't be as bad as Shake It Off surely? :o Haha! I don't like that song either. I agree with Kelly that I want to like that song but it just isn't happening after 18 months of trying. All the poppy songs have come off the album anyway. If they are determined to release a fifth single, Say Somethin is not that bad a choice. Edited April 6, 200718 yr by Flatcap
March 12, 200619 yr Shake It Off is much better in my opinion! I think Stay The Night would have been the best and most obvious choice but maybe thats just me. Edited April 6, 200718 yr by Flatcap
March 12, 200619 yr I can see this not getting very far in the UK. There's loads of better songs on The Emancipation Of Mimi. The radio never played it first time around (when it was supposed to be 1st single), so why bother releasing it? Edited February 21, 200718 yr by Flatcap
March 15, 200619 yr Author I can see this not getting very far in the UK. There's loads of better songs on The Emancipation Of Mimi. The radio never played it first time around (when it was supposed to be 1st single), so why bother releasing it? I don't think there are tracks that could perform better, besides So Lonely, I think Say Somethin is the right choice for a commercial release, everything else either seems a bit samey or too personal. -_- Edited February 21, 200718 yr by Flatcap
March 16, 200619 yr Really? I think Stay The Night would be perfect! Edited February 21, 200718 yr by Flatcap

The other strong tracks are ballads and are not really suitable for the radio. Really? I think Stay The Night would be perfect! They can't release it. Legal reasons. I forget exactly why. March 16, 200619 yr Yes I remember now you say it. Something to do with sampling or something I think. Edited February 21, 200718 yr by Flatcap
