Joy Division wins quite convincingly for the second time easily beating out Baggy Trousers.

Voted for Roxy Music
Voted for Roxy Music, especially seeing as I've never/don't care to hear Joy Division...

Dont even have to think about this one - Joy Division by a mile. One of the most perfect songs ever written will always get my vote.....

There's a reason why JD are spoken of in such reverential tones, and this song pretty much sums up what that reason is....

Perhaps you would care to go to a cinema to see "Control" then, and you might actually learn to have an appreciation for the music of JD/Ian Curtis....

tbh 'bigwiglaf' sports an american flag, im not sure what the impact of original indie was over there and as such joy division may be a 'uk' thing.

TOTALLY disagree, Rob - JD had a massive cult status in America (and still do - as do New Order), there's really no reason for anyone to be ignorant to the absolute genius of Joy Division - and even less to be proud of not hearing them (actually - I don't think I know ANYONE under the age of 50 who hasn't heard, and been hugely bowled over, by them).

Saying that, though - I voted Roxy Music on this one - LWTUA isn't my favouite JD moment - Love Is The Drug is a classic, timeless single that seems to sound even better with age.

i vote Joy Division

God the Paul Young version stinks. There are some ok covers out there. Nerina pallot did one as a bside and that was ok. Swans also did an ok version. Of course no match for the original but still ok.
