Rolling Stone released a article describing the new Green Day album. The album so far has been written on piano, not guitar. Billie Joe admits that he is still lyrically looking for themes. He wants to figure out what he is feeling right now which is middle aged, and has stated that "Right now it seems stagnant." Apparently the band wants to make sure that they are being honest with themselves. Title and release date are still unknown.

 

 

So after reading that it seems most of the songs are in the early stages but have been written and they are having trouble writing lyrics..

well hopefully next year some time we will get a brand new album

I haven't heard anything about it being the last, i think they're getting to old though for their type of music anyway tbh.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was their last, maybe two more albums and then a greatest hits at the most...

i think def at least 2 more albums and prob a few greatest hits for a few years after

Well they are definetly getting to old the music they do so they to take there style in a new direction.

I think after a while they'll go down a type of Foo Fighters-road..

that wouldnt be a bad thing at all as i love the foo's
