Posted October 9, 200717 yr Kylie pays Brit school a visit 9 October, 2007 Source: MW By Ben Cardew Kylie Minogue yesterday paid a visit to the Brit School for Performing Arts and Technology in Croydon, in her role as the recipient of Music Industry Trusts’ Award. The annual award raises money for both the Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy charity and the Brit Trust – which includes the Brit School. The visit included a tour of the school’s dance studios, rehearsal and recording studios and classes. The singer also met Brit school principal Nick Williams and Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy managing director Pauline Etkin. The Music Industry Trusts’ Award takes place on October 29 at the Grosvenor Hotel in London. Minogue is to be the first female recipient in the Award’s 16 year history. Previous recipients include Sir George Martin, John Barry, Peter Gabriel, Ahmet Ertegun, Elton John and Bernie Taupin.
