Posted October 9, 200717 yr Jon McClure reveals he is now living with the Sheffield frontman Reverend And The Makers' leader, Jon 'The Reverend' McClure, has revealed that he and Alex Turner, frontman of Arctic Monkeys, are sharing a flat together in Sheffield. Turner had previously lived with his parents in the city, choosing to shun the road many northern bands take after finding success then moving to London. In an interview with BBC News, McClure explained that although he shared living space with the Arctic Monkeys man, he didn't feel as close an affinity to his music as has been suggested. "There ends the connection, apart from the fact me and Alex live together," he said. "I feel more of an affinity with Manu Chao and modern day rebels, really. Ojos de Brujo, Ian Brown, 3D from Massive Attack, the Dixie Chicks. I feel more akin to those people than I do the Arctic Monkeys." October 10, 200717 yr Author One of the Sheffield preacher man's poems is on a Monkey's neck 7 hours ago John McClure of Reverend And The Makers has revealed that one of the Arctic Monkeys has the title of one of his poems, 'Speak The Truth', tattooed on the back of his neck. He has not revealed which band member has the inking. McClure explained to BBC News that the title of the poem represented a code of peaceful ethics. "My brother's got it on his arm and one of the Arctic Monkeys has got it on the back of his neck," he said. "It's more of a code of ethics, it's not preaching. "The message is essentially peace and love, because I wonder what happened to that. It kind of got washed away in the '80s and was replaced by a load of rock stars. We're the people's band. "The overriding message is peace and love in what is the most turbulent time in living history." Source: NME.com I wonder which one! :o I have an itching feeling it'll be Nick for some reason.
