Two singers set to perform together

 

Christina Aguilera and Aretha Franklin are planning a duet.

 

According to DJ Premier, who worked on Aguilera's 'Back To Basics' album, the two are working on material together.

 

Premier said: "Christina got back at me because she's doing a duet with Aretha Franklin."

 

No release date is known for the duet, but it is thought that it will feature on Franklin's forthcoming album 'Jewels In The Crown: All Star Duets With the Queen', which is set to be released later on this year, reports Hip

Yeah apparently Aretha phoned Christina's people and was like, gimme her number, and they were like, who's this? And she was like. "It's Aretha darling!"

They didn't believe her obviously, and phoned her PR and confirmed it.

Then Aretha phoned Christina and was like, yeah, It's me, and Christina was like, WTF, who? Lol. And Aretha said "It's Aretha Franklin darling!"

Christina put the phone down and started screaming to Jordan that Aretha was on the phone, lol.

 

Not only that, It's a covers album, but Aretha insisted that Christina write a new song for them :D
