Posted October 10, 200717 yr ...I've ever witnessed from a major, popular singer :( No cover OR tracklist, but we're two weeks from release! That alone makes you wonder what the hell is going on at Jive. On top of this there's just no point them releasing an album if they don't intend for her to promote it, perform etc, because the promo build-up is exactly what fans love.
October 10, 200717 yr true, it doesn't feel like a britney album is coming out, i remember the in the zone promoting days, oh my god, that was brit at her very best...love love love that album. now we got a crappy vma performance and a video shot in a bar for 250 bucks. dont get me wrong i love her, her music and everything, but its starting to get on my nerve, i want brit to show the world why she is one of the best pop stars EVER! anyway, cant wait for the pushed up album...i am buying 2 copies.
October 11, 200717 yr maybe theyre just keeping the tracklisting and cover secret.... Sorry to go completely off topic... But you have the best username EVER.
October 11, 200717 yr Hate it aswell, but she obviously isn't in any state to promote with all this custody c**p going on. She is in court right now. Also Jive don't give a c**p about her promoting as they know her album will bring them in big money. If she did promote and VMA'S and video were good. It would be an amazing comeback
October 11, 200717 yr Sorry to go completely off topic... But you have the best username EVER. aww thanks
October 11, 200717 yr ^sorry to disagree with you but, that is comeplete bull. If she wanted to keep the fans happy she would release an EP not a full LP...
October 11, 200717 yr Author This is NOT a comeback this is to keep the fans happy. Absolute rubbish. Of course it's a comeback!
October 11, 200717 yr This is NOT a comeback this is to keep the fans happy. Thats such a Clarkson fan thing to say. If this is a huge worldwide flop (which it will) - will that be the excuse? That it was just for the fans? Surely her fans should be INSULTED by how terrible this project is? I know for sure I would be pissed if my favourite artist was doing the same, both her and Jive should be ashamed. Don't give me the problems at home excuse, because she has had these problems for a while and has done nothing about them, she is bringing it all on herself. It's a shame all this has happened with her children, well no, its not. She should have sorted her life out before she even started recording an album! She should have been a good mother who didn't go out partying everynight and totally mess her life up. For her to release an album in the midst of it all is not only IDIOTIC, but incredibly RUDE to her fans who have been waiting for this for years. Yet, a lot of you will stick by her? Even though she is pretty much screwing you over? Time and time again. I couldn't stand Britney but with the release of 'In The Zone' I finally got it, she was someone who knew what she wanted and worked hard for it - she finally starting releasing real, quality music that had good pop influences, that had catchy hooks and good songwriting. It wasn't fake bubblegum pop for the first time, it was pretty much her (well, from what I took in it was, many could dispute that). Yeah, she made a few mistakes - but they just added to the charm. These mistakes though, as has her weight - have only become bigger and more problematic. It's sadly overshadowed everything else and with the release of this album, it's pretty clear that not only she has killed off her career, but she has killed a lot of her fans respect. She is over in the sense of music, but she will always remain a public figure for all the wrong reasons... Edited October 11, 200717 yr by Notso_Hampson

October 11, 200717 yr I think her new music is some of her best yet  Surely thats not the point? The fact she is screwing you, one of her fans over doesn't annoy you at all? As long as you get a few good songs that come at a cost of pretty much destroying any strand of respect and dignity she has? Apart from me and Jark does anyone actually realise how bad this situation is?! :/ It's career suicide. You will get some music now, but don't expect anymore... You will get some music now, but don't expect anymore... ah well it could be worse...at least she hasn't been arrested for anything people are portraying her situation as worse than it actually is. whatever she does she's 'falling apart'. "ooooohh look she's going for a drive, it's so tragic" stuff like that. and at least she is releasing stuff, she could just not. so yeh it could be a lot worse, look at Whitney Houston or Lindsay Lohan or Michael Jackson. October 11, 200717 yr Author The new music is most certainly not 'some of her best yet' -_- Well, I cant judge since I dont own any previous albums, but all of the recent songs bar Everybody, Gimme More, Your and Been A While are utter crud. If this is her best...
October 11, 200717 yr I sort of agree here, if her comeback single wasn't such an absolute stormer she would be having a complete flop comeback, everything else about this project is shoddy so far, that infamous VMA performance, the video to the song, the way the project is being handled, it's all a complete mess. This is why I honestly don't see her success this time around lasting beyond one single. The single will be a huge hit and the album will get off to a great start, but I don't see any subsequent singles doing much or the album's long-term sales to be anything spectacular.

If this is her best... so u don't own any of her albums heard few demos and u r judging only based on them :) ypu are not a fan than so u cannot understand why are we getting too excited sometimes over her :P
October 12, 200717 yr definately the worst and most troubled comeback ever!! everything that could have gone wrong did. bad vma performance, contast stream of bad press, cheap and uninspired video. no promo work by her to support the single (except the vma). but whats keeping her afloat is "gimme more" is such a great track. its really strong, fresh and has broad appeal not just appealing to britney fanbase, people who like R'n'B and dance too. it can overcome some of the bad press. but all publicity isn't good publicity. what publicity does is it creates awareness but it doesn't generate sales especially if its bad publicity. long term it will hurt her. if your private life gets more press than your music then you are in trouble. she has to get out there and do some positive promo work otherwise it will keep buliding up the negativity. some people won't want to buy it cause of britney's bad behaviour. image is crucial!! especially if you are a pop princess. many people are thinking "why is she making music when she should be at home with the kids" that kind of thing. she may think that getting back to work is a good thing to do something she loves to help her get through her tough times. " gimme more" has been damaged by all the negativity stateside. it will never reach its full potential, we'll never know how big it could have been if things went better and britney was better mentally. if the vma performance had been a success the song would have exploded on radio and she could have gone to #1 but she has to settle for #3.
October 13, 200717 yr I'll be buying the album when it comes out as I don't really like singles these days. I really couldn't care less what happens in her private life, that is her business. She's delivering the goods, this album, and I really don't care if she does any promo or not. From what I've heard so far, it sounds like a stomping album and the fact that she recorded it in such dire circumstances just makes it all the more special. She may be a lot of things, but in the recording studio this chick rocks.
October 13, 200717 yr I don't even think Britney knows she has an album coming out. But Jive know what their doing, I think there's some massive plan behind this! Edited October 13, 200717 yr by Dan.
