Quite like this version, a bit mainstream for Bolan with Cilla though, mind you who had the best feather boa

I visited Memphis this year, home to Stax Studios which was a multi-racial soul label set up by Jim Stewart and his sister Estelle Axton in the days when the racial divide was prevalent in the 60s. I mention this only because I love Issac Hayes' Theme From Shaft and Hayes was a producer, session musician and writer (with David Porter) on many Stax releases before he became a star in his own right thanks to Shaft.
Where did Co Co get to in the chart?

#2 in july :)

imho the best track that year was slade 'cus i luv u', think it was slades best too, love the 'fiddle break', a superb bit of playing unusual for a pop track.
