October 12, 200717 yr WOW! Loving all the older tracks thrown in for good measure! And it sounds so theatrical and extravagant! Can't wait to see it with my own eyes!
October 12, 200717 yr I can't believe that they are doing Give good feeling...... from what I've seen so far the show looks amazing - can't wait to hear Kathy's report from last night, and see it for myself in December :cheer:
October 12, 200717 yr Read about it in the papers this morning, it looks amazing!!! I wish I was going :(
October 14, 200717 yr How far into the audience does the b-stage reach? It could mean my seats are much better !

October 14, 200717 yr Well I got back from Belfast last night after seeing the show on Friday. It was fabulous and the Odyssey Arena is a superb venue. And it would be unfair to pick out any one part of it for special honours. I was only so-so in my opinion of Reach Out before now, but after seeing it as the opening number, and the way they sang it (real ballsy) its now one of my faves. By the way - 'Hold On' was performed on the main stage though - way before the B stage happening. It Only Takes A Minute was really sexy (and a bit porno in some ways - but tastefully done!!!!) Jay & Howard did some pole dancing themselves. Could It Be Magic was performed brilliantly - removing any traces of past performances of it. Light My Fire was excellent too (the start of it reminded me of the voodoo scenes from the Bond film - Live and Let Die). But perhaps the best bits for me were the banter that went on from the B stage - especially Gary inviting to visit his and Howards' website "www.goodlookingb*stards.com". Gary came across brilliantly to the males in the audiences (incidentally - the ratio of male to female this time was much higher than any other TT concert I'd seen.) Oh the whole thing was just fabulous and I can't wait to do it all again on December 15th! The B stage comes out quite some distance from the main stage and we certainly got a good eyeful of the lads and our seats were to the side but certainly quite far back. Kathy
October 14, 200717 yr glad you had such a great time and that the lads didnt disappoint not that we ever though tthey would
October 14, 200717 yr glad you had such a great time and that the lads didnt disappoint not that we ever though tthey would By the way ... forgot to add ... Belfast has got to be one of the best cities I've visited in ages. We had a great time and spent the whole following day there. Kathy
October 15, 200717 yr Yeah i have heard good things about Belfast...all good :) Glad you had a good time...
October 16, 200717 yr I'm glad that you enjoyed the gig Kathy, and also that you had a fab time in my home town Belfast - it's a very different place now to when I was growing up, and the nightlife now is fab - I haven't been to the Odessey, but I've heard that it is a fab venue. I can't wait now til I see the boys in the O2 on the 30 November/1 December :cheer:
October 16, 200717 yr how many did they play belfast Tonight is their last night in Belfast I believe (Thursday, Friday, Sunday, Monday & Tuesday). The Odyssey Arena is lovely. When we went to pick up our tickets on the Friday afternoon we were a bit hungry and decided to eat in a cafe there and it was really, really reasonably priced - nice food an no rip-off prices. And best of all - a pot of tea without having those awful little plastic UHT milk things! Proper fresh milk in a jug. The arena only holds 10,000 so when we saw our seats when we were inside - it was a nice surprise to seeing the seating plan (where we thought we'd be miles away). It is much, much nicer than the MEN Arena in Manchester (it has apparently been voted one of the three best venues in Europe by artists performing there). So in all - when Take That finish - they'll have brought smiles to 50,000 faces in Belfast (quite a few of them were blokes too!) Kathy By the way .... if they show the concert on TV over Christmas or New Year (or if you get the chance to see the DVD when it comes out - Relight My Fire (all voodooed up and with the Gnarls Barkley Crazy woven into it) and Could It Be Magic are just brilliant.
October 16, 200717 yr Brilliant! Glad to hear you had a great time Kathy!! I'd love to hear them do give good feeling again... :D
