Posted October 12, 200717 yr From Variety.com: The day after news leaked that Madonna was close to leaving Warner Bros. Records and hitting the road with concert promoter Live Nation, Warner Music was quick to issue a report from a Bank of America subsidiary explaining why the former material girl is no longer worth a nine-digit payday. Knowing that Warner will still receive a Madonna disc next year, Banc of America Securities analysts wrote a report titled "For $120 Million, She’s All Yours." Here are some of the highlights: * There is "headline risk associated with a Madonna defection. However, the bigger risk would be to overpay for an artist that does not seem to be generating the revenue to support the contract being discussed." * Beside the fact that Madonna will turn 60 years old in the last year of the proposed deal, it is "fantastic" for her but does not "make economic sense" for WMG. * "Her loss will not meaningfully impact Warner’s near-term sales." Banc of America has a "buy" rating on Warner Music Group stock, which closed down 16¢ on Thursday at $11.13. B of A figures WMG will rise to $16 based on its strength in the digital delivery department. Over the last 12 months, WMG’s stock has dropped from $27.24 to a low of $9.41 last month. Wednesday’s news did not do much for Live Nation as its stock price dropped 87¢ to $22.49.

October 12, 200717 yr Yup, it seems the new album is gonna drop only in February but hopefully a single will be released in December. I hope so for the single but to be honest I'm rather pessimistic. :(
October 13, 200717 yr Warner's $h!t at promo and stuff anyway. She's better off out. -_- I HIGHLY agree on that one. -_-
October 14, 200717 yr Its definately for the best if Madonna leaves Warner. They've been absolutely rubbish for her since 2000. They've messed up on singles releases and promo, look at the damage caused in America over the last few years! Madonna should leave as soon as possible! Since Warners are getting all hot under the collar with Madge, could it mean that they'll seek revenge and do an 'extra' c**p job at promoting her new album in 2008? lol!
October 15, 200717 yr Since Warners are getting all hot under the collar with Madge, could it mean that they'll seek revenge and do an 'extra' c**p job at promoting her new album in 2008? lol! That'll be 'very clever' from them but who knows! <_<

October 16, 200717 yr Warner are just fat men in posh clothes. They have no idea that there'll never have another madonna in there compnay. I'm still pissed that they stopped releasing songs from the "Music" album
