Single News

You can now listen to the new single "Tranquilize" from the upcoming album Sawdust, in stores 11/13, Here

Song is already 20 on iTunes! :cheer:

From NME

The Killers are to release 'Tranquilize', their duet with Lou Reed, tomorrow (October 12).

The song will be available to download from iTunes.

'Tranquilize' is taken from 'Sawdust', The Killers' forthcoming album of b-sides and rarities, which will be released on November 12.

Speaking of their sessions with the former Velvet Underground legend frontman, The Killers' singer Brandon Flowers told NME.COM: "We were thrilled with being able to work with Lou Reed. The song was calling for a duet and his voice was just right. The sentiment of the song is very him."

Flowers said the song was a "rollercoaster".

"There's a desperation to it," he explained. "It's one of our more depressing songs, but there's always a light at the end of the tunnel."

The song was produced by 'Sam's Town' producers Flood and Alan Moulder.

The Killers are also set to release a Christmas single, 'Don't Shoot Me Santa', on December 1, with proceeds going to the RED Campaign.

Last year's 'A Great Big Sled', their first Christmas single, raised over £50,000 for the charity.

The band have confirmed the artwork for the 'Sawdust' album, which can be seen on the right of this

OMG, Leave The Bourbon On The Shelf is on there!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i've been waiting to hear that song for ages, if i'm not mistaken, that's the third and final song of the murder trilogy, right? yay! :cheer:

can not wait for this, even though i already have most of the songs on there as well lol.

OMG Tranquilize and Leave the Bourbon On The Shelf are sooo good! :D

I cant wait for this album to be released, even though i also already have a large majority of the songs!

However i am abit upset that "Where Is She" isnt on the album, its a real good song, but i didn't expect it to be really what with all the controversy and stuff in Scotland lol.

The album art is pretty cool too, not so sure about the choice of font for "Sawdust" though.
