I have to say sally websters delivery of scripts on x mas day and after was brilliant, i really felt it was really happening to someone in real life so huge well done to her, i wish the corrie writers had focused the websters on this as those few scenes between kevin and sally would a million times better than any of the affair stuff.

CORRIE is poised for an explosive child kidnap plot - as little Simon Barlow is whisked away by evil George Wilson.

George snatches his grandson from the school gates, leaving his dad Peter at his wits' end.

Peter (Chris Gascoyne) calls the cops and goes to George's house to confront him.

The old man, played by Raffles star Anthony Valentine, goads him into losing his rag.

So Peter lunges at him - and ends up getting arrested after pushing away a cop who tries to intervene.

In tear-jerking scenes, Simon is left sobbing for his dad - and Peter must watch from the police van as his son is left in the crook's clutches.

By the time Peter is released, evil George has already gone into hiding in Blackpool with the boy.

In the dramatic scenes to air in March, George uses his sway with the Weatherfield authorities to get legal custody over Simon (Alex Bain).

But will he succeed in his wicked plan to steal Simon away for good?

Sounds alright I suppose ^_^ Anyone else loving the Graeme & Rosie scenes

A big fat "I TOLD YOU SO" on behalf of Ken then! Never expected this storyline coming though I must admit. :o Always thought George was quite a good guy so to speak.
Sally Whitaker again who plays sally delivered fantastic scenes again tonight, she is the best actress on the street by a million miles and she really has shown that with her cancer storyline.

Everyone knew George was really a bad guy.

Poor Simon.

He's the best current child actor of any soap (barring Bianca's Tiffany).

I agree, she is excellent really delivers

And I agree about Bianca's Tiffany  her & Simon are definately the best child actors but Tiffany is better.

Gail is implicated in a con that Joe sets up to fake his own death. It goes wrong and he is killed but Gail is left in the frame.

David tries to cover it up which makes matter worse and Gail ends up behind bars.

Who does she meet in prison? None other than Tracy Barlow.

Tracy has some info that leads her to blackmail David, this results in David resubmitting his original statement that was retracted at Tracys trial.

Tracy is set free while a retrial is planned and is eventually found guilty of manslaughter and sentenced to the time she has already spent behind bars.

:o :o :o

OMG! I hardly watch Corrie anymore but caught a glimpse of the omnibus earlier today and couldn't believe that Gail was walking down the aisle to Dido! :) FANTASTIC

Coronation Street was fabulous tonight (well the Webster scenes were almost Oscar worthy - especially the two daughters).

Norma

I never thought I'd say this but even though the show is currently DIRE - except for the occasion Webster scene - I LOVE Rosie and Graeme together :D I feel dirty knowing I enjoy Rawsie scenes!

Kim C was on This Morning today and confirmed there will be a funeral for Blanche and Tracey is out for it - connects into Steve/Becky

adoption

storyline.

Also she confirmed that

Gail ends up suspected of Joe's murder

which effectively confirms the Tracey/prison/favourite character comments.

Can't wait until Kim is gone. There are night's I'd rather suffer a double bill of Hollyoaks.

I'm hoping they have a long-standing storyline with Graeme and Rosie ... best mates but they'll never be anything more ... but hopeully to provide loads of laughs along the way.

Norma

I hope so! They work so well. Forgot to say I enjoyed Mary and Norris tonight too :)

Mary is so weird though find it hard to see her as a normal character.
All four websters have been AMAZING lately, in particular Sally - Almost had me in tears last night...

I agree she deserves an award for how shes been in this storyline so far.

Sally Whittaker is a very, very good actress. She's one of the few soap actors/actresses that could make it outside of soapland.

Norma

I cudnt see her in anything but corrie now, but she is a great actress and hugely under estimated , i dont think she has ever even had a nomination for best actress at the national or soap awards, she is probably the only corrie actress i would like to see win the award, hopefully with the cancer storyline she will at least get a nomination in not to distant future for best actress.

SO LONG BLANCHE.

Legendary pensior Blanche Hunt will be laid to rest in an emotional funeral later this year.

With the sad passing of actress Maggie Jones late last year, the show's bosses have taken the decision to killoff Blanche and give the Barlow family- as well as the character's legion of fans- the chance to mourn her.

"Blanche will recieve a fitting send-off" reveals corrie producer Kim Crowther "We'll play her funeral so our characters can say goodbye and it'll be both touching and funny"

The occasion will also see the Barlows reunited with Blanche's murderous minx of a granddaughter, Tracy, who was sent down for life in 2007.

"Tracy comes out of jail for the funeral" Kim tells us "She'll be unnerved to see Becky with her daughter Amy- and will soon be causing trouble for Steve and his wife.. "

SIMON KIDNAPPED!

It looks like Ken Barlow was right to voice his concerns over Simon's granddad George Wilson, as the newcomer is set to take the little lad away from his dad, Peter.

Chaos ensues as reformed alcholic Peter reverts to his old ways, leading George to remove his grandson from Peter's care. What follows is a battle over the adorable boy..

"Peter falls spectaculary off the wagon" shares Kim "George looks after Simon while Peter gets himself together"

But it seems Simon could be in even more danger with George when, on a trip to blackpool, the child vanishes without a trace...

GAIL IN JAIL?

Losing her husband, Joe, in tragic circumstances could turn out to be the least of Gail McIntyre's problems- she's going to be charged with murdering him!

We've already speculated that debt-ridden Joe will drown when his life insurance scam goes tragically wrong. But thanks to a cruel twist of fate, the police will believe Gail had a hand in his demise..

"Joe tries to embroil Gail in his plans when they go away to a cottage holiday" explains Kim "Gail is'nt so co-operative though. She comes back to the Street alone, and lies about where Joe is. It takes her down a dark path- and she ends up on the wrong side of the law and accused of killing her hubby"

BECKY AND STEVE'S BABY DRAMA

There's hard roads ahead for The McDonalds', when they decide to look into adoption after Becky tragically miscarries thier baby.

Poor Steve and Becky are devastated by the loss, but try to concentrace on the future and consider new possibilites. However, with venomous Tracy determind to throw a spanner into the works, could the pair's baby dreams be shattered?

"Steve and Becky eventually make plans to adapt" confirms Kim "Tracy hears about this and starts scheming. Steve and Becky also look at where Amy fits into the family, and whether she should remain a Barlow or become a McDonald. Tracy won't be happy about that!"

SALLY'S NEW AGONY!

There won't be any let-up in the drama over at the Webster's as the truth about Kevin's affair with Molly Dobbs looks set to come out.

For the time being, the family is focused on getting Sally through her breast cancer ordeal. But just when the mum thinks her nightmare is finally over, Kevin's scandalous trysts with Molly come back to haunt them all.

"They'll be plenty of twists and turns" teases Kim "Sally recovers from her illness, though the consequences of what's happened are ongoing throughout the rest of 2010"

TONY'S BACK!

Killer Tony Gordon will return to the cobbles in a shock twist that's bound to horrify former flames Carla and Maria Connor.

At present, the psychotic fella is on remand and waiting to be tried for conspiring to kill love rival Liam Connor.

But later this year, Tony will make a surprise comeback- leaving a host of weatherfield residents fearing for thier lives.

"I've just come out of a very exciting story conference and we're going to being Tony back in the spring for a special week- and possibly longer" says Kim "We'll even see him return to the Street itself.. "

Extreeeemely excited for the Gail in Jail storyline  geeky I know but shes one of my favourites
