Coronation Street star Katherine Kelly says plans are being made to put her in one of the soap's most prized jobs - a Rovers Return barmaid.

 

"It's been two years since I joined the Street and 18 months since I started working in the café and became a cast regular," Kelly told The Daily Record.

 

"Now the Rovers keeps getting mentioned. They'd like her to work behind the bar - but I reckon Becky would sup all the profits," she added.

 

Kelly, whose character Becky Granger was once homeless, has mixed feelings about the move. She feels it may be disloyal to Roy Cropper, currently her boss at Roy's Rolls.

 

"I like Becky's connection with Roy. He's really put his trust in her," she said.

 

Becky will take charge of the café next week when Roy heads of to visit his wife Hayley.

 

"Becky has done well," Kelly adds.

 

"She came into the show homeless and when Roy comes back she'll move into Roy's permanently as a lodger."

 

 

i don't think i'd want her moving to the rovers.

Corrie's getting some new flats

Tonights was actually quite good :lol: Sean was annoying as always but Violet and Jamie was abideable :lol: was funny when Sean was making the same noises as Violet was and she turned to him and went "What are you doin'" :lol:

I wish they would just axe Sean ffs, he's getting beyond pathetic now! For the first time, I actually believed that Violet was a decent character. :o

Agreed, the guy can't even act yet the bosses at corrie seem to think he's this popular, must-appear-in-every-episode character, i cant stand him

But, violet has had some decent storylines, but i feel corrie could have written better and more storylines for the charcter as she had a lot of potential!!!!

Richard Fleeshman has revealed that he would not rule out a return to Coronation Street.

 

The 18-year-old quit the show to concentrate on a music career in 2006 after winning celebrity singing contest Soapstar Superstar.

 

However, he said he had not closed the door on returning as Craig Harris in the future, telling the Daily Record: "I never categorically said I wouldn't go back to Corrie. I had an amazing four years and would go back if it was right for me."

 

Fleeshman split with Emmerdale actress Roxanne Pallett last October due to their conflicting schedules.

 

Talking about the current state of his love life, he said: "I'm single now. I'm just going along quite happily with things at the moment. Ironically I'm often far too busy to be looking.

 

"Being out on the road can be hard. You can't be with anyone. I have no plans about who I'd date in future. It would be stupid to rule out anything with another actor."

 

Fleeshman kicked off his UK tour last night. His new single 'Hold Me Close' was released on Monday. (looks at where this song appears on the midweeks...)
