I'm loving the Kevin/Molly storyline mainly because we get to see more of Sally

Sally is the nearest we're ever going to get to the legend that was Annie Walker!

Agree with you both, for me Sally is the best thing about Corrie and has been for years. Such an underrated character by many.

I really HATE this storyline but like said, if it gives more Sally I can live with it!

Yeah I love Sally I think shes hilarious haha, infact I think the Websters are probably the best family on the street.

Bill Tarmey will reduce the hours he works on Coronation Street in light of his continuing health problems, it has been claimed.

According to The Sun, the show will accommodate the Tarmey's decision by having his character Jack Duckworth leave Weatherfield.

Jack will move out of the house he shared with Vera (Liz Dawn) and move in with millionaire lover Connie Rathbone (Rita May) in Middleton.

In his "farewell" episode, Jack will leave the house with Vera's ashes under one arm and stuffed pigeon Fergie under the other.

Jack will say: "Well Vee, I suppose this is it. Everybody knows we had more than our share of ups and downs between these walls.

"But we were happy here until you decided to sneak off to heaven before closing time. It's not like Connie will ever replace you. You know that don't you, my little puddle-duck? Aye, I'm sure you do."

Tarmey recently denied reports that he was poised to quit the programme.

Sarah Platt's coming back apparently

:nocheer:

Thats a good thing  I hope she is, she was more of a believable character and was funny at times.

But shes just so moany and ugh :(

I hope if she is returning then they give her some decent storylines to come back to and not all this Jason rubbish. She used to get loads of good stuff when she was younger, remember the paedophile storyline?

Well Tina will be in the way of her getting with Jason ^_^ will be interesting to see how they get on.

How funny was the AA meeting in Coronation Street tonight? Deirdre is fast becoming as funny as Blanche!

Norma

Tonight's episode was fantastic. Had me in stitches!

Blanche to the assembled AA group: "Ken had a recent affair with an actress. Not Nicole Kidman or anyone like that. This one lived on a tug-boat".

Coronation Street producers have announced that they are recasting the role of Gail Platt's eldest son Nick Tilsley.

The 28-year-old character, who was previously played by Adam Rickett, will return to the cobbles later in the year as a new actor takes on the part.

Following a relationship with Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson), Nick left for Canada in 2002 and briefly returned for his mother Gail's (Helen Worth) wedding to Richard Hillman (Brian Capron).

His next return came in in September 2003, during which Todd Grimshaw (Bruno Langley) attempted to kiss him in what was Coronation Street's first gay clinch.

When his on-off relationship with Maria (Samia Smith) broke down, Nick was last seen leaving the Street in a taxi to start a new life and job in Nottingham. Since his departure, he has been referenced in scripts by his family on numerous occasions.

A Corrie spokesperson said: “It will be great to see the return of Nick, he has so many links with the street - both with his family and also with the various women he has had relationships with."

They added: "It will be interesting to see how Leanne and Maria will react to his return and of course David has never really got on with his stepbrother so there will be some fireworks there.”

Rickett can currently be seen in New Zealand-based soap Shortland Street. He previously embarked on a brief pop career before being approved as a prospective candidate of the Conservative Party.

Last week, it was claimed that producers are lining up Tina O'Brien for a return as Nick's sister Sarah-Louise Platt.

Ryan Thomas, who plays Jason Grimshaw, recently revealed his desire for his screen brother Bruno Langley to make a comeback.

Blanche to the assembled AA group: "Ken had a recent affair with an actress. Not Nicole Kidman or anyone like that. This one lived on a tug-boat".

Norma

All this about Norris' Brother Ramsay

Is it just me or does it seem the whole bringing him in is just one big disappointment. It's hardly been exciting with him in it we was lead to believe he was hiding one big secret and Norris told it and thats it.

With him dying already it's hardly likely hes going to be remembered being in the soap at all.

Would have thought they'd have gave him a memorable storyline like Sir Ian McKellen & Peter Kay had. Instead all hes done really is suck up to Emily & Rita, and bought Norris some bunion shoes.

Does anyone else think it was pretty pointless bringing him in at all?

EDIT -

On another note how hilarious are Freda & Norris  Freda was always a great character I hope shes here to stay

Edited by Simon.

I've became quite the fan of this in the past few months, it's became my favourite of the soaps now.

I do agree that the Ramsay thing has been a let down, especially given the whole hoo-ha about him arriving on the street. A real anti-climax.
