Former Coronation Street actress Kate Ford has admitted that she is ready to return to TV screens, but she would like to do something other than soap.

 

The actress played bad girl Tracy Barlow on the show for five years, but left six months ago when her character was sent to prison for killing lover Charlie Stubbs.

 

Since she quit Corrie, she has married her TV producer partner and relaxed, but Ford has now revealed that she is ready to work again.

 

She is hoping to appear in something different next time, saying: "You should never say never as an actor because you do have to pay the mortgage, but while I might return to Coronation Street one day, I don't ever see myself in another soap opera.

 

"What I would really love to do at the moment is something with a bit of adventure in it."

 

Ford also revealed her reasons for leaving Coronation Street, saying: "Playing Tracy was great fun. I loved it because she was always up to something evil.

 

"But I had been in Corrie for five years and the show has hectic schedules, so I decided I needed some time to myself. I felt like I needed to indulge myself a little and to focus on my personal life for a while.

 

"On Corrie I never had time to see friends or do anything I wanted, so I have spent the last six months just doing that. It has been great and I feel incredibly rested, although I do still miss Corrie."

Sarah is going to get her revenge on David this Christmas by planting drugs in his room. The Daily Star breaks this spoiler that Sarah goes clubbing and is offered some tablets to help her keep going on the dance floor all night. She accepts but keeps hold of them and stashes them in David's dresser drawers. Seems Gail had given permission for David to spend 6 months in Italy if he cleans up his act and she's determined to scupper it and scupper it she does. Gail finds the pills as planned and pulls the trip out from under David's feet. So to speak.

Oh how cool!

Compared to EE's 'wedding of the year' this episode was written brilliantly, just a shame sean had to be given some pointless lines. Cant any of the backstage/casting lot not see that he has all the acting talent of a dung beetle (grrr!!)

 

I cant wait to see how sarah leaves the show, I hope its a good, strong christmas stroyline for CS, IMO, i think they need to get back out of the dull, repetitive cycle theyve been going through recently

I agree the recent storylines has made us sick of the characters especially Claire & Ashleys, that just didn't work.

 

Hopefully Vera's & Sarah's departures will help pick the ratings back up.

I used to love Claire when she was really geeky :lol: But they've ruined her making her all miserable and so strict.
