Rob continues to close, but I remain on top of the Leaderboard where I have been since Week 18 by just 3 points.

The reason there is an Average Score Leaderboard is to encourage members to enter this Game halfway through the year, etc and compete on a level playing field as those players who play every week.

 

REMINDER: Due to the increased popularity of download only sales on the chart, the regular posting of the New Prediction Games is Tuesday evening or Wednesday evenings (which is to give me more time to see if there are some key download only singles being released on I-Tunes, 7Digital, etc)

How Points were scored:

 

For the last 6 weeks (Games 36 - 41) there will be points awarded for where the player finish in that week's Game:

 

The points will be as follows:

1st = 100 Pts

2nd 80 Pts

3rd 70 Pts

4th 60 Pts

5th 50 Pts

6th 45 Pts

7th 40 Pts

8th 35 Pts

9th 30 Pts

10th 25 Pts

11th 20 Pts

12th 18 Pts

13th 16 Pts

14th 14 Pts

15th 12 Pts

16th 10 Pts

.....

down to 25th 1 Point

 

(Any ties in points from the prediction Game will lead to the points gained from the finishing position being shared amongst those players. i.e. 2 plays tie in 2nd place, hence (80+70)/2 = 75 Pts each).

 

 

At the end of this 6 week period, the positions of this Cup Leaderboard will be totalled up so that the remaining players go into the knockout stages in a Seeded position based on where they finish (ie. like Tennis competitions the 1st & 2nd seeds will be kept in the separate halves of the draw, so if things go to plan the favourite will meet 2nd seed in the final, after the 1st seed had beaten the 4th seed & the 2nd seed had beaten the 3rd seed in the Semi Finals,

 

Stage 2 - The Final 32 Knockout stage:

Therefore over the following 5 Weeks (Weeks 43 - 47) then 1st v 32nd qualifier, 2nd v 31st qualifier, through to .... 16th v 17th, with the winner of 1st v 32nd taking on the winner 16th v 17th in the Last 16 Round Finals, etc in sudden death weekly knock out rounds (Last 32, Last 16, Quater Finals, Semi Finals & Final).

 

(If during any of the knockout rounds neither competitor plays, then the highest scoring loser will make the next round; If there are any ties, then the person who posts their complete predictions (ie. if you edit your post then that will be the time that counts) earliest will win that round)
