MCR Concert DVD

 

My Chemical Romance have just finished up a concert DVD that captures the band’s full The Black Parade

performance in Mexico City, which was the last performance of the album live.

The DVD is slated for release in early 2008.

I think there is an unofficial DVD and a 2 disc CD/DVD of their last tour called LIVE ON THE MURDERSCENE.

My Chemical Romance Wrap Black Parade DVD

 

Emo royalty My Chemical Romance are finishing up the DVD of the opulent 'Black Parade' tour.

 

 

The 2006 album, which very nearly topped the US and UK charts, was just asking for an over-the-top stage production to go with its rock opera concept. The band certainly delivered throughout 2007, bringing the costume changes, narrative interludes, pyro, confetti and rock bombast to the US, Europe, Japan and South America.

 

The October 7 Mexico City performance was filmed for the DVD, which was deemed the last performance of 'The Black Parade' live. The band had been going through the album track by track, with backdrops and costumes coinciding with the video clips for their singles and singer Gerard Way even opening the show on a hospital guerney with a fake IV drip to perform the album's first track 'The End'.

 

At the conclusion of the album portion, the band changed clothes during an intermission and returned to play a selection of their older tracks.

 

In late October My Chemical Romance support Bon Jovi for two shows in both bands' hometown of New Jersey, before taking a rejigged set to Europe, the UK, Australia and New Zealand into December. The DVD is set for a release in early 2008.

I was confused when it said the last show of the album live as I am seeing them next month! But it says the set will be rejiggered which is good for me cos they will play old songs too! :D

 

I have the Murderscene DVD/CD but it'll be good to get this one to hear TBP songs live too. <3

Bands usually don't change the set when they are touring ? :unsure: It will definitely be good when they play older

songs aswell. You don't wanna go to a MCR concert without hearing Helena and I'm not Okay ^_^

I'm sure they';ll be extras. Most acts I've been to see do cover versions or some such.

 

And well Nicky I am a strict follower of Christmas. I don't shop, listen to the music or get into the spirit until the stroke of midnight on December 1st then I'm CRAZYYY :cheer:
